Is Octobriana a comic strip character dreamt up by a bunch of
drunken Russian youths, or a real-life revolutionary warrior-woman?
Carl Malone's quest for the truth behind the myth leads him to
St Petersburg in Russia, where he rendezvous' with Vlad Drenkov
and Roy Drakov -- two people who have met Octobriana and had their
lives dramatically altered by the experience.
Malone learns about a secret Russian organisation called the Soviet
Science Bureau headed by ex-Nazi Han Ingersol; the truth about
the Tunguskan fireball explosion of 1908; the existence of an
alien race called the Tarnog (who have more than a passing interest
in Octobriana); and also what the Russian Devil-Woman apparently
did during the 1960s and '90s.
In a climatic showdown on the desolate Siberian plain of Tunguska
between Mr Nero's men in black and an army of Native Americans,
Malone finally discovers for himself whether Octobriana is more
than just a fairy story.
