...and her tears begin to
fall.
June 2001
This quilt is the second in
a series of quilts in which I am exploring women's emotional journey
through life altering events.
After I had created the
first quilt I was really taken by the spiral. Then when I played the
"what often happens next" game, crying was the next part of the
process of these life altering events. Whether it be the death of a love
one, the end of a relationship, or the wide variety of endings we face
each day, tears are a way that women express their pain. I
took the spiral and changed it to the tear drop shape seen in this
quilt.
Watch for the next two in
this series. I hope to get going on the 4th one in September as the
cartoon is already to go.
