During the spring of 1995 Robbie Eklow (who was on Quiltnet at
the time) shared her ideas for her Moonhut quilt. It made me laugh. Several
months later my husband traveled for 6 weeks solid. I emailed Robbie and
asked permission to use her idea to create my own quilt. We have three sons
and of course twice in that 6 week time frame my PMS acted up! =) It seemed
the second time that something had better be done to get me thinking in
a happier frame of mind. So together with my son's, I made this quilt using
a Hoffman print with people's faces. The boy's choose the faces and some
of the sayings. The moon has prairie point teeth and it is about to eat one
of the heads. We laughed so hard and enjoyed ourselves so much! It was a
great experience.
