LAST FULL MOON OF THE MILLENNIUM....The
last full moon of the millenium shines over Kuala Lumpur's Petronas
Twin Tower Building at 11.45 pm ,22 Dec.This double exposure of the
building and the moon was taken with a 600 mm lens combined with a
2x converter to capture the full moon.Scientists say this is the last
full moon for the millennium and it coincides with the shortest day
in the northern hemisphere, the moon is also at it nearest point in
its elliptical orbit to the Earth. This also happens as the Earth is
also at its closest point in its orbit to the Sun. The last time such
a phenomenon took place was in Dec 21, 1866. More moon pictures here:
