Okay, okay, so I did the big-time-tourist thing
and did one of those double decker open air bus tours. It was a wonderful day and
a relaxing way to be driven through Stockholm while listening to the English version of
the tour. I tried to see "ABBA: The Exhibition" but it was closed:(. Oh well, next
time. I did see a lot of Volvos on my tour, so I didn't miss everything. At one point I got
off the bus and checked out the Vasa Museum. The Vasa was an old sailing ship that
looks a lot like either the Pinta, the Niña or the...well you know what they look
like. It sank a few minutes after it took off on its maiden voyage. They were so
embarrassed that they sawed off the masts and left in down in the Stockholm harbor.
In the 1990s, they finally brought it up from its watery grave and actually built a museum around it.
Very cool stuff and unfortunately the photos didn't come out.
