Part 4

The King and Bob made a deal: the following day, Bob would buy some shorts of various styles and lengths, and let Innocence take some pictures of him wearing them afterward. So once again, the two went shopping.

Neither Innocence nor the King knew that Bob had money of his own, so Bob went into a couple of non-clothing stores and bought some things for himself while Innocence went potty at the public restroom in the mall. Innocence wasn't supposed to let Bob out of her sight, so Bob let her carry some personal belongings of his into the toilet in order to make sure Bob didn't vanish. Innocence was relieved to find Bob standing in the same place she had left him when she came out.

"You took a long time," said Bob.

"I had to go real bad," said Innocence. She adjusted her skirt so that it reached down to the tops of her boots. Even though it wasn't a cold day, it had been raining, so she was allowed to wear boots with her skirt suit.

After Innocence and Bob returned to the King's home, they ate lunch, then Bob put on the shorts and let Innocence take some pictures. That evening, the King asked Innocence to leave them, and have dinner alone in her room. After eating, the King turned to Bob, who was again wearing old jeans. "A friend is coming tonight. I want you to entertain him, treat him well. Wear a pair of the most revealing shorts that you bought today."

"Why?" asked Bob, who thought the shorts were to be worn only for Innocence's pictures.

"Because he likes to see girls dressed as boys in shorts—very short shorts."

"No," said Bob. "I left home because I didn't like being told what to wear." Bob was not going to be bullied by this King, any more than Barbara was going to be bullied by her parents.

"As long as you are a guest in my house you will dress as I tell you to! I have lost my patience with you. Ace! Come here and tie her down."

Bob reached into his jeans pocket and said, "Okay, you win. I don't want to be tied down."

Just then Ace entered the room. The King dismissed him immediately as Bob went through the sack of shorts that he had bought.

"I like these," said the King, as Bob held up a pair with holes in the cheek area. While the King ogled the shorts, he did not see Bob take a pocket knife out of his jeans and open the blade, nor did he feel the blade enter between a couple of ribs in his back until a half-second before it penetrated his heart, stopping it forever.
