My Window View Of Singapore
(The Singapore Story)
Painting directions: medium: newspaper media: soft pastels, oil pastels, tracing paper, black card, velour, acrylic paint, charcoal, (gold)postel paints, granular paint (that wasn't much of a 'direction') The picture above, taken at an angle, is the best i have of the collage painting i did. If anyone recalls, this was the piece which drove me nutz in june because of its degraded treatment. I didn't take any pictures of it before i handed it in, so this is the best i can produce. The management didn't frame up the piece in the end, as a matter of fact, they covered the entire painting(the way i handed in) with a huge plastic cover, which was making unnecessary reflection of light and folds all over(check out picture on the right). I received a Merit Certificate($200 and a six-month subscription free singnet internet account) for this piece. i've already used up that $200 for my new box of pastels and design-folio. The piece was exhibited at Suntec City during the months of July and August, in conjunction of The Singapore Story multi-media exhibition. |
