| At the south end of the island, Long Beach Boulevard ends in a parking lot for the Holgate Wildlife Preserve. At least one mile of empty beaches and sand dunes, it's a nice place to get back to nature. However, there is apparently some problem with people driving at excessive speeds on the dunes. (The signs read: "Speed Limit 15" and "Speed Checked by Radar".) And no, this picture was not altered. Those signs are really there. |
