There's been a couple of fine articles in the Globe and Mail that I'd love to bring your attention to. The link is only good for a week, so please act swiftly.

The first that I'd like to flog is a beautiful piece printed yesterday called, Vote for Dubya - Messenger of the Gods. Gray ties together the speaking skills of the candidates, research in brain morphology, ideas on the self and oral tradition, Woody Allen and the presidential debates and brings them as evidence that we might be de-evolving. It's better than it sounds. Really.

And if you are not completely sick of the fuss over Eniem, may I redirect your vision to an article that was reprinted in the Globe and Mail two days ago. It smartly brings out the unsaid basis of most of the complaints against Eniem : that we expect white rappers to behave better than black rappers.

I just want them all to behave.
Let's all keep evolving forward, shall we?
