Because I live across from Detroit, for the last handful of months I have been exposed to all the trappings of an extensive presidential campaign in a battleground state. And now that the presidential election is coming to a close, there is still no relief in sight for we Canadians must prepare for our own municipal and federal elections that are fast approaching. I am almost saturated with all things electoral. But not quite. I've actually learned something this time around. I used to poo-poo the American electoral college means of choosing a president, but through this article from Feed Magazine and in light of the fact that the entire outcome of who becomes president may come down to less than 2000 votes, well, I've changed my mind. |
