This is Krutch's second time on the review page and they are back with their newest release on Cartel Records from Finland called OUR THING – THE MAFIA YEARS.
It is a sort of “best of” album for Krutch with songs ranging from 1989-1999. There are also three new ones on the album. Some of the classic songs you will hear on this album are “My Way”, “Fists Thrown Up”, “Nature”, “In Who’s Eyes”, “I’m The One”, & “The Few The Deep”, along with the new songs “BFL”, “Our Thing 89” (featuring Below from No Retreat on drums), and “W.O.T.”. These new songs are great, what you would totally expect from Krutch. They have the hard Krutch beats along with the fast mosh it up and kill people breakdowns. There are also some cover songs on the album which Krutch has done over the years. The song “Youth Of Today” is on the album along with the song “As One”, which features Karl from Strength For A Reason on vocals. This album is extremely well done, both in terms of the sound quality and layout. It was produced by Hoya from Madball as well. Each song is filled with energy and their classic old-school/new-school mix of music styles. You can hear the old youth crew beats in some songs and the new-school metalish guitar squeels, solos, and breakdowns in others. I have seen these guys play and also had the honor to play shows with them many times, including their final one, and I love their music and miss them greatly. They were defintely a very influential part of my life and also the Pa hardcore scene, and will certainly never be forgotten. This is definitely an album to add to your hardcore collection, even if you never heard them before. It is a sample of some of their songs from each of their releases over the past ten years of Krutch. I guarantee you will agree with me that their music is what hardcore is all about, unity and family. I hope that I will get to see them play one last show someplace in the future and I think everyone should come out to support them if they ever do play again. If you would like to contact Krutch, you can do so by emailing Richie "The Blade" at Krutch10@aol.com or MobHit99@aol.com. You can also check out their websites at www.onelifedrugfree.com/krutch.htm or at cartelrecs.cjb.net//krutch. BROTHERS FOR LIFE!

Finally is all I can say about this one! For one thing, I finally got a new band review up on this page, and secondly Merauder put out their long awaited new album. Their latest release is called "Five Deadly Venoms" and its on Century Media Records. To start this long awaited review off, I couldn’t have continued it with a better album. Five Deadly Venoms is one of the best albums that I’ve heard in a while. The songs on the album are: “Intro”, “Scarred”, “Unify”, “Five Deadly Venoms”, “Find My Way”, “We Are The Ones”, “Life Of My Own”, “Save My Soul”, and “Final War”. The song Life Of My Own is a cover by the Cro-Mags that the have incorporated into this album. It sounds really great and is one of the best songs on there. From the start of the album, it is full of energy and definitely gets your adrenaline goin. It starts off with a Intro of noise and then busts into the first song which is awesome. I think that this is their final release and they don’t plan to do too many shows to tour the album. When you listen to Five Deadly Venoms, you will be reminded of Master Killer because some of the same hard riffs are used, which gives Merauder their great sound! Hopefully I will get to see them one last time before they are done for good. Defintely pick up this album while you can because its pretty hard to find in stores. If you see it, get it because you might not be able to find it later. Below is a new picture of Merauder courtesy of Century Media Records:

Chris M. - Guitar
Hans - Guitar
Richie Krutch - Bass
Phil – Drums
Well, this is their second time here in the review list, but this time its a review of their latest release called "Out To Win" on Triple Crown Records. This is their first full-length CD and it kicks ass. If you liked their previous demo, you'll love this album. It 3 of the songs from that demo, plus 8 other ones. As a band, they have gone through some lineup changes since their last release. Their guitar player, Mike, and their bassist, Dave, who were on their last demo, left the band. They got Hans to play bass for a while before Mike left. After Mike left, Hans stepped up to play guitar, and they got Chris M.'s brother to play bass for a while. Then Rich from Krutch joined to play bass, which now completes the band. "Out To Win" is their first release with this lineup. From the time you put this CD on, you know its gonna be a great CD. They have their same great style with a little metal influence, and Chris's vocals are a little different than on the demo. the songs on theis album are "Out To Win", "Fearless", "True", "Uncertain", "Nothing Lost", "Abrasion", "Smothered", "Stepping Out", "Follower", "Cut You Down", and "Full Metal Jacket". Every song on this album is great and can be listened to over and over again. James Ismean of Fury Of Five does some vocals in the song "Nothing Lost". I'm not sure if Richie Krutch does the bass tracks on this album or not, but he is in the band for sure. These guys are one of the most up and coming bands in hardcore today. If you want to purchase this CD, you can pick it up for, I think, 10 bux at one of their shows, or from any distro that deals in HARDCORE stuff. You can also check out their website at http://www.onelifedrugfree.com/mshmouth.htm or email them at SKYwarp69@aol.com for more info on their albums or for bookings. If you never seen or heard them before, definitely check them out. They are one of Pennsylvania's best hardcore bands by far. They also were the original members of the band Strength For A Reason with Karl from Nanticoke on vocals. Below is a picture of the band:
Mike Score - vocals
Jim Antonelli - Guitar
Taras Apuzzo - Guitar
Eric Carillo - Bass
Jesse Sotherland– Drums
All Out War, they music speaks for itself. I had their new album for a while, but I couldn't find any pictures to put in my review. Now i got a scanner, so i got all I need. The new album is called "For Those Who Were Crucified". Its on Victory Records, and it has 13 songs on it. They are "Soaked In Torment", "Burning Season", "For Those Who Were Crucified", "Resist", "Claim Your Innocence", "False Salvation", "Redemption For The Innocent", "Witness The End", "Into The Flames Of Progression", "After Autumn", "Enemies Of Creation", "Truth In The Age Of Lies", and "Apocalyptic Terror". There is also a little surprise Cro-Mags cover at the end along with 2 other surprise songs, so let it play for a while! . This album is the follow up album to their previous release "Truth In the Age Of Lies". I think this album is definitely one that you should get your hands on if you like the metal/hardcore mix style. They definitely get the metal goin in this album. The vocals are sick and the instruments are the best. Its great. They also redo a few old ones which sound great. This album is a definite for your or someone else's Christmas List. Definitely get out to see these guys next time hey play near you. You'll see a great show, take it from me. They are all real cool guys. I've seen tham many times already, and my band even played shows with them 2 or 3 times. Every time was great. Although, at the last show of their's that I was at, Jim, the guitar player wasn't there. Someone else was playing in his place. I don't know if he quit or what. It sucks if he did cause he was an awesome guitar player. Anyway, like I said, definitely get this album. They even gave us a shout-out in their thanks list. Thanks alot guys! Again, sorry for the missed reviews, but I just can't get to do them with school and all. I'll do my best to keep them monthly. Below are some pictures of All Out War. For left to right:

After five albums, six compilations, and the supposed breakup forever, Agnostic Front has made their come-back into the hardcore world with their new album “Something’s Gotta Give.” This album is on Epitaph records and is available on LP’s, CD’s, and cassettes. The musical style is totally different than their previous release “One Voice.” This time, you can perfectly understand every word Roger says without reading the lyric sheet once. The have taken their musical style in “Something’s Gotta Give” back to their roots with the fast beats and old school breakdowns. To me, the album seems influenced a great deal by Warzone, both musically and lyrically. For example, one verse in the album was inspired by RayBeez. Its in the beginning of the song “Gotta Go”, and it says “From the East Coast To The West Coast, Gotta, Gotta, Gotta Go! True Sounds Of A Revolution, Gotta, Gotta, Gotta Go!” This is a really cool line cause its sung by a bunch of guys without music which makes it great. Anyway, back to the album itself. It has 15 songs on it. They are “Something’s Gotta Give”, “Believe”, “Gotta Go”, “Before My Eyes”, “No Fear”, “Blinded”, “Voices”, Do Or Die”, “My War”, “Bloodsucker”, “The Blame”, “Today, Tomorrow, Forever”, “Rage”, “Pauly The Dog”, and “Crucified”. Vinnie Stigma does his own little acoustic jam with his song “Pauly The Dog”. Its about a beer drinking dog and its pretty funny. To top this album off, you can hear parts of some old AF songs in the songs on this record. This was real cool to do cause when an AF fan hears them, you kind of get all pumped up and you get even more into the music. This is a really great album, but I think that “One Voice” is still their best release. Don’t hesitate to pick this album up! Check it out. Its available through Epitaph Records, Cd Universe, and of course through none other than Rick. Below is a picture of AF:

Here they are again, but this time they are comin stronger than ever!! Fury of Five, one of the best and hardest bands in the hardcore world today, has released their latest album called "AT WAR WITH THE WORLD", and its on none other than Victory Records. This is the best stuff yet from these guys. You can tell they put alot of hard work and dedication into this album. It is definitely the album of the year and there is no reason why you shouldn't have a copy of it. The Cd has 10 songs on it. They are: "Come and Get It", "Wake Up America", "No Time For Love", "Once Upon A Time", "Takin Respect", "Last Place", "Follow The Tracks", "Do Or Die", "Inbred Hate", and "Just Go Quietly". The CD starts off with some creepy ass sirens like the ones you would hear at the end of the world or somethin. Then it busts into the good ol' Fury style with a couple of new singin styles by Ismean. A couple metalish screams fill up the first song and also an actual singing part. This time it sounds way better than the first one. The whole album is a step up for them cause it just blows you away as soon as you hear it. Also the song Takin Respect, which is an older song, features Joe from Second Ta None and Anthony from E-Town on Backup vocals singing "Its not where ya from....Its where ya at!! Its sounds real good. Definitely pick this album up, it is totally worth every penny of your money! Don't wait. They really stick it to all the assholes that have dissed them over the years, personally those people deserve it. They also dedicate the entire album to peple who have recently passed on like Princess Diana, Mother Theresa, and RayBeez. I thought that was pretty cool. You can pick this album through Victory, Rick Ta Life's famous stand, or from Fury themselves. I just saw these guys not too long ago at Sea Sea's and the place almost fell down. It was total chaos as all Fury shows are. They are one of the best bands to see live and you also have the best time singin along and dancin. Don't ever miss one of their shows cause you'll be missin out on a great show. Below are some pictures that I found of them on the web, Clisk them for bigger pictures. From left to right:
Cipher, as you probably already know, is from N.Y, Long Beach to be exact. They have appeared on here before, and they have earned another spot on the review page with their latest release called RECOGNIZE. Yes, the damn thing is finally out. After months of problems, they pulled through and its now available. Cipher is a great band. They mix hardcore with a sort of hip-hop kind of beat. They have a style all their own which is something rare in the scene today. I have seen these guys play many times and the crowd always has a good time and there is never one person who isn't movin in one way or another. Their new release called RECOGNIZE has 10 songs on it. The first is called MIC CHECK. This was recorded at one of their shows. They start playin some kind of beat and it goes on for about 50 seconds. Then all of a sudden you hear Moe say "Whats up we're Cipher" and the drums started playing the next song which is called COALESCENCE. Keep in mind that it is still the live recording. When I first put it in my CD player, I didn't know what the hell was goin on. I thought the recording was bad or somethin. Then all of a sudden the drums went right into the studio recording of the song. It was awesome! This is a great combo to play if you got a radio show of something. It just gets you pumped and you want to start killin. The third song on the Cd is THEY WILL FALL, followed by HEADCHECK, CLOCKWORK, HOWEDO, THE 7TH, REACTIONS, CULTURE'S SON I (The Reckoning), and CULTURE'S SON II (The Illerpath). Some of these songs are on their earlier demos they got out, SERIAL and 2. Cipher is also featured on the CrossIsland Connect compilation. The RECOGNIZE album is a totally DIY project. They did the whole thing themselves. It's very professionally done with an awesome layout! It's only 10 bux. That's less than a dollar a song and the Cd is about 50 minutes long. The album is definitely worth every penny, and the band deserves your support, so PICK IT UP! They are a great band, no doubt about it. If you are interested in booking CIPHER for a show, or just want to buy some stuff, you can mail them at CIPHER: P.O. Box 745 Long Beach, N.Y. 11561, you can call them at 212-591-0277, or you can mail them at cipher@usa.netorD2DaBOB@aol.com. Below are some shots of these guys:
With One Intent.........all I can say is that these guys are great! They are from Massachusetts and they are one of the
hardest bands out there today. This is their second time up here on the review page and they have definitely earned
their spots here. Their music is hard, along the lines of All Out War, Blood For Blood, and Madball. The vocals sound
almost identical to Freddy Madball with a little mix of Karl from Krutch in there at points. There are awesome
dance parts throughout their songs, both fast old school types and the killing people kind. They have a demo out
called COMPLETE FAILURE. Its definitely worth pickin up. For more info on that, check their review below before it
reaches the bottom and it gets deleted. If its gone, you missed out, but still pick it up if you see it. Anyway, I'm here
to tell you about their new CD out called LEAVING IT ALL BEHIND. Its on Released Power Productions, and you can,
pick it up at Rick Ta Life's traveling flea market or by mailing the band. Its 10 bux, definitely worth every penny! The CD features some
songs from their previous demo I was talkin about. They are "Complete Failure" and "Justice For Sale". Complete Failure
is my personal favorite. It makes you want to snap and start killin. The full lineup of songs on the Cd are:
"Question My Hate", "Justice For Sale", "Uncured Undermined", "Past Mistakes", "Complete Failure", and "Becoming
Death". This Cd is packed full of some hard shit. It also has some great samples from movies like
Full Metal Jacket and the Shining. The shining one is scary because the little kid is gurgling the words
REDRUM over and over and then starts screaming them like a demon or some shit. You know what I'm talkin about. Definitely pick this CD up if you are into HARD-core and like to dance it up. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!! Yeah you, pick it up, you won't be disapointed. If you don't, your missin out on some
good stuff. Like I said, the Cd is available at Rick's stand, or you can get it through the band themselves. Mail them at: With One
Intent, 1 College St., Holy Cross College, Worcester, M.A. 01610-2395 U.S.A. Also, you can call them at (617)364-4775 and e-mail Andy at AJCAMBRIA@HOLYCROSS.EDU. They also have a website at http://carver.holycross.edu/~ajcambri/woi.htm. There is no reason why you shouldn't pick this up. Their stuff is distroed throughout the world in countries like Japan, Europe, Puerto Rico, and Australia. They are not small time by any means. I got some pics of the band from their last review to show ya. Check these studs out!

VISION is a awesome band outta New Jersey. They started back in 87 and have been goin strong ever since. They are along the lines of an old-school hardcore/punk type of style. Vision has released a number of albums. The first was called Vision. It came out in 87. Their other albums were called "Undiscovered", "In The Blink Of An Eye", "Just Short Of Living", "One And The Same", and their latest, "The Kids Still Have Alot To Say". I don't have all of these albums YET, but the one's that I do have are great. I have every one except for "Vision" and "Undiscovered". I would definitely recommend any of these albums to anyone. THEY ARE AWESOME. The one that I'm gonna tell you about today is their latest release "The Kids Still Have Alot To Say". It on Cargo Music, and it has about 14 songs on it. They are: "Two Wishes", "Live Today", "Pick Of The Litter", "Looking Back", "Disaffected", "What You May Find", "Disguise", "Antidote", "The Kids Still Have Alot To Say", "Childhood Games", "The Mirror", "Remember When", "What's Understood", and "Something Left Of Me". All of these songs kick ass. The whole album is about and hour long, but the songs are so good, the time flies. Some songs are punky (Disguise), while others are sort of harder (What You May Find). "What You May Find" also has an awesome breakdown in it for all you hard dancin kids out there! The songs are also filled with great singalongs that you will find yourself singin whenever you are listening to it. It is definitely an album to be played over and over again. Vision is one of my favorite bands, cause everyone has fun when they are on stage. They were also the first band I ever saw back in 91'at LS Skate A Rama in Nanticoke before it burnt down. They will always have my respect, and they should have yours too because they helped hardcore become what it is today. If you want to contact vision, you can mail them at : VISION, 84 Cherry Road, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849. Also you can e-mail Dave at RUNUTS4900@aol.com or Pete at PTabbot@aol.com. They also have a website at http://members.aol.com/VISIONNJHC. If you haven't had the chance to see these guys perform yet, get your ass out to their next show! You won't be disappointed. Below are some pics of Vision. Take a look!

Death Threat is out of Connecticut and was formed about 2 years ago by Aaron and has gone through many lineup changes since. The current lineup is the lineup on our demo and should be the permanent one. Almost all the members of Death Threat have been or are still in other bands. Aaron was in a band called Mindset, Larry was formerly in Hatebreed and Two By Four, Lou is also currently in Hatebreed and was formerly in Frostibte and Ascend, and Jayme was formerly in Hatebreed, Pushbutton Warfare, and Bloodbath. They currently have a 3 song demo out called LAST DAYS. The songs on it are "Brotherhood", "My Time", and "Wasted". All these songs are great. If you like Hatebreed, One Life Crew, etc., then you'll definitely be into these guys alot. You can hear the Hatebreed influence in the band, considering 3 of the guys were in Hatebreed. The songs are hard, and break into heavy-ass Hatebreed-style breakdowns that make you wanna kill someone. I saw them in Newburgh, N.Y. not to long ago with Blood For Blood and All Out War. Death Threat kicked ass! Even though it was late, and alot of kids were socializin for the whole show instead of supportin the bands, the kids that were listening were flyin around the pit and rippin shit up when Deat Threat played their set. They are definitely a band to keep your eyes peeled for. They are goin to be on Rick's new comp ( I think Call 4 Unity 2) on BTB, 2 songs coming out on a compilation called "No Pity In Sin City",and a 7" on Round 2 Records by the end of this summer. If you want to contact these guys for a show (which you should), you can reach them at DethThrt89@aol.com. Also, you can mail them at: Larry Death Threat..68 Virginia Ave., Bridgeport, C.T. 06610. You can also call them at (203)367-0517. They are also goin on a 3 week east coast summer tour with another Connecticut band called Divided By Hate, so if they come your way, GET YOUR ASS TO THE SHOW!!! These guys are a great band, and they deserve your support!

Life Sick Life is a hardcore band out Philadelphia, P.A. They have an awesome sound to them. To me, they sound sort of like Krutch and E-Town Concrete mixed together. They blend hard-ass beats with sort of a rappy hip-hop type of lyrics in some spots, and hard singin styles in other parts of their songs. I saw them perform at Sea Sea's in Moosic, P.A., and they brought the house down. Alot of people were dancin it up, and also there were big sing-alongs. Like I said before, if you are into Krutch and E-Town, then you'll definitely like Life Sick Life. When I was at their show, I picked up their CD which is called "SAME SHIT, DIFFERENT DAY." There are 6 songs on the CD. They are "ToungeTied", "True Love", "Set It Off", "365", "Identify", and "1 yr. 5 mo. 9 days." All of these songs are real heavy. Definitely pick this CD up, you'll be glad you did. Below is a picture of the band. Check it out!
Well, once again the P.A. Hardcore scene shows what they are made of. Dysphoria, as you may know from my last review of them, are one of the best bands in the P.A. scene right now. They are from the Buckingham/Landsdale area in P.A. This band is really heavy and hard with some metal influences. Their music is really powerful and full of great dance parts and awesome breakdowns. If you are into Merauder, Blood For Blood, and bands along those lines, you will definitely take a liking to this band. They have a previous demo out called "You Wish You Tried", which has 6 songs on it. They are "FACE DOWN", "KILL JOY", "THE RULE", "START AGAIN", "DECLINE", and "SET UP". Their most recent release which I am doing this review for is the album called "Hope Without Reason." There are 11 songs on it. They are "WHERE YOU OUGHT TO BE", "BURDEN", "FACE DOWN", "AT DAY'S END", "START AGAIN", "LIFE:RELOADING", "THE RULE", "HOLLOW WORDS", "MOURNING CHORUS", "SET UP", and "LAST MAN OUT." The new songs on this album are great! All of you Dysphoria lovers out there WILL NOT be dissappointed at all with this CD. You better get it if you see it because it is great. This is a CD that you could listen to every day. The CD comes complete with lyrics, pictures, and a huge thanks list. Check it out, you might be in there!! If you want to contact Dysphoria to play a show or get some of their merchandise, you can mail Chris at Dysphoria, P.O. Box 590, Buckingham, P.A. 18912. Or you can email them at forya@erols.com. They have alot of merchandise that you can get you hands on, like jackets, shirts, small or huge stickers, etc.. Definitely support these guys... They do alot for the scene, and they are real cool guys. Below are some pictures of the band from their June review, CHECK THESE GUYS OUT!:
