March of the Living 1999 Diary
April 16, 8:05 AM
I don’t know how much time I have to write, probably not much, but I’m going to try. We don’t have any long bus trips today (we’re finally in Warsaw, our final stop), so I probably won’t have another chance for a while.
I spent my first, and probably only, Polish money today. I bought a postcard from the hotel store. It cost 1 Zlotik 50, which, by quick calculation (as my math teacher would say), works out to about 60 cents Canadian. At least it’s a nice postcard.
We don’t have a very big day today. Mostly we’re just touring Warsaw. It’ll be a nice change, I think.
I can’t wait to leave Poland and get to Israel. I really don’t want to stay here.
Last night (for lack of a better topic) we played Mau. It’s the first time since Monday night, but it was worth it. We had a very fun game. We were all pretty tired and still are, and I’m emotionally drained right now. I don’t feel very much of anything. I just want to:
1. Sleep, and
2. Leave. : )I ruined my jeans yesterday (at least the knees) when we were in the cemetery. It was worth it. I can always get another pair of jeans, but maybe no one will ever go to that grave again.
We’re all leaving for the buses now.
Until Next Time,
Julie
