In A Perfect World

In a perfect world there would be
No you, no I, just us
together as one;
Souls and hearts connected by
A bridge of love

In a perfect world we would not be
Living far apart
Separated by oceans
Too far to cross;
But side by side
Lovers in love

In a perfect world my arms would
Envelop you
And keep you warm
Throughout the night;
Your kiss lingering on
My lips forever

In a perfect world you would
Walk with me
Talk with me
Grow old with me;
Two souls in love
Now and forever

I wish we lived in a perfect world

Words Are Not Enough

I struggle to find the words to say
that will let you know just how I feel
to tell you of the depth of my love
and everything that you mean to me
But mere words cannot express
the emotions that you stir
the passion and the tenderness
that dwells in my heart for you
words cannot justify nor qualify
the love in my heart for you
If I had forever to tell you how I feel
That would still not be enough time
So i will simply say I love you

After You Go

Long after you have left the warmth of my arms
all that lingers in my mind is the sweet memories
of the love and magic moments we have shared together
Your sweet smile is etched deep in my mind
Like the washouts created on a rocky shore
caused by the constant action of crashing waves

My heart cries out in anguish as your sweet words of love
echo in my mind and create a burning desire to hold you
Needing once again and to taste your sweet kiss
A kiss that is so soft it melts my heart
Like the sun melts the ice on a frosty window
As it beats down on a sunny day
br But soon you return and all my loneliness is gone
and your words of love soothe the emptiness I feel

Elements of Beauty

The rain paints a picture on my heart
its gentle drops falling lightly
Splashing the colours of the rainbow
for one and all to see

The wind writes a story on my soul
cascading leaves in its wake
its gentle breath blowing softly
caressing all that cross its path

the sun etches a tale in my mind
as it burns up in the sky
the light from its mighty rays
turn nighttime into day

your love sings a song to my soul
with words that dance across my heart
their tender beauty rendering it helpless
its fate you now control

A Broken Heart

The lonliness begins, my heart aching
Missing everything we once shared
Feeling lost, the despair invading my mind
Like the rapid currents of a raging river
Unstoppable in its relentlessness

Emptiness, a soul devoid of feelings
eyes that once sparkled are now grey and lifeless
reflecting the pain that dwells within
a heart thats broken crying out in anguish
for the love that once was

Tears. so many nights I've cried
trying to ease the pain as i search for sleep
my spirit broken and reduced to nothingness
Struggling to find the will to carry on
Hurting so much for what used to be

A Higher Love

Riding a winged horse that carries us skyward
We make love amongst the soft billowy clouds
Our souls merging into a oneness with each other
As we melt int each others arms
Two people surrounded by the warmth and beauty
Of a love so strong that no force on heaven or earth
Can break the heavenly hold that binds their hearts as one
Hand in hand and arm in arm we soar high above the clouds
Stealing kisses like two young lovers in a dark and shadowy corner
Pressing lips together , soft and tender, like the gentle breath
Of a summer zephyr blowing softly on a sunny afternoon
Kisses so sweet that fill each of us with a feeling of
Pure bliss and intoxicate us with the headiness
Of a full bodied wine
Soft loving hands caressing each other
Each touch sending an I love You straight to our hearts
Two hearts beating as one with the rhythm of
A heavenly orchestra playing a soft love song
Trancending our love beyond our physical bodies
And setting our souls into a higher place
Our own kingdom of love , where there is but you and I
and time stands still and our love reigns supreme

Mystery Girl

Who is this woman who comes into my dreams
So Beautiful, shy ,vulnerable, understanding
Whose lips are as soft as a lullaby
and with a taste sweeter than honey

Eyes that sparkle reflecting feelings
she cannot deny and a heart bigger than life itself
so full of love for the one who has
come into her life and stolen it away with
tender words of love that stir her passions
and start a fire deep in her soul that can not be tamed

who has an all consuming passion and desire to
return the love that has been bestowed upon her
and hold her love and protect him keeping him safe from all harm
by wrapping her soul around his and melting into his arms and
succumbing to the pleasure of their closeness

Who is this mystery girl who stands before me and
comes into my dreams and gives me all the love that she has to offer
It is you my love and now that I have found you
I will never let you go

The Letter

Last night, I checked my mailbox
A letter from you was waiting for me
My heart skipped as soon as I saw it
And my hands trembled as I struggled to open it
My knees weak with anticipation
Of the words that you would say
So afraid to look - my heart was pounding
Finally, I forced my eyes to gaze down
And read the opening line and with that
All my fears disappeared
As all I could see was I love you
Oh how my heart sang
I could hardly contain myself
As line after line I read
Each tender word you wrote
Told me of your love
And then I saw your picture
That you had enclosed for me
I was overwhelmed by your sweet beauty
All I could do was clutch your picture to my heart
Wishing so much that the picture was you
I smothered the picture with my kisses
Pretending that I was kissing your lips
I stood there for a long time
with tears streaming down my face
So much in love with you
Finally, I placed the letter
in my pocket next to my heart
And walked home with a smile
Whispering I love you babe
I love you so very much

The Rain

As we kiss the rain falls softly
And mixes in with the happy tears we cry
We stand and hold each other tightly
And dance to the rhythm of the falling drops
The rain is warm and wonderful
Its tender caress recharges our souls
We walk hand in hand splashing through the puddles
Like two little kids without a care in the world
I look at you and see the happiness
that radiates from your sweet face
My heart is touched by the love we share
I tenderly reach for your sweet lips
And gently kiss them softly
we stop and hold each other for a moment
Just enjoying the closeness of each other
We dance in the rain for hours
Until the sun comes out to play

A Special Place Where We Can Go

You come into my arms and lay your head
Softly on my shoulder, and as you gaze into my eyes
My lips brush gently against yours
Tasting the sweetness that they offer
My head swims, my heart pounds
As you take me to our special place
Where there is but you and I
Two people in love existing as one
Two hearts lost in the gentle glow of love
This is our special place, our secret spot
Where we can go to fulfill our dreams
Such a quiet place unencumbered by sound
Save for the beating of our hearts
In this place our souls melt into one
As we speak softly of our eternal love
Here, we can lay in our lovers embrace
Arms wrapped around each other
Dancing our beautiful dance of love
Moving softly to the rhythm of our hearts
With a oneness so full of grace
Sharing an intimacy that is soft and tender and warm
Unhurried in its quest for completion
Our passion slowly building ,each caress taking us closer
To the edge of over which we shall fall
And float ,hand in hand, gently downward
Drifting through space two souls as one
And finding ourselves lost in a sea of love
