Cool Beansssss Snakessss
Well, I've got 3 "kids". Gebroni, Maizie, and Crystal. Actually, they're only Cornsnakes (Elaphe Guttata Guttata). I got Gebroni in Sept '99 as a gift from my friend Sam. Then in Dec '99, I decided to get 2 more. Gebroni is a "Red Albino", Maizie is half "normal", half "Miami Phase", and Crystal is a "Snow Phase". They all have different colorings, and you can get many other color 'morphs' than just the 3 I have. Lack of certain skin pigments due to genetics makes them very VERY different in color. I've been keeping records of when I feed them, and when they shed. They all live together in a nice warm 20 Long (29) gallon aquarium with a nice secured screen top. By secured, I mean it has some heavy college textbooks on it :). You'll see what I mean in the pics below. I've taken some pictures of my snakes and their wonderful snakey furniture with my company's digital camera. Thanks to all those wonderful cornsnake web sites for their useful information and nice pretty pictures. Also thanks to cornsnake@yahoogroups.com (formerly known as cornsnake@egroups.com, and before that it was cornsnake@onelist.com), where I get a lot of info from other cornsnake enthusiasts. I would definately recommend a corn snake as a first snake to own. Email me if you have other questions, I'm a storehouse of information, and if I can't answer your question, I can surely point you where to go to find the answers you're looking for. Scroll down for the pictures. They're all small thumbnails, so click on them for the full size versions. Also, if you hold your mouse pointer over the pic, you can get a description of the picture. Some of these pics are pretty blurry and/or grainy, sorry. Click here to go to my Cornsnake Length Project page. Submit your data to my ongoing cause in the name of Science!!!
