BODY ART
Tattoos have been around since the beginning of expressionism. Over the years tattoos have represented different meanings. But today tattoos are an artform. They are a way to express yourself. Tattoos are something very personal and deeply related to ones inner soul. A tattoo is forever. They should be choosen carefully and significantly.
I always wanted a tattoo - so when my son wanted to get one, I decided what better way to commemorate his 16th birthday! I guess it was my way of trying to stay young as he got older! Below are pictures of his tattoo. It came out so colorful and realistic! Because of my love for them, I found a picture of a hummingbird and a hybiscus flower and had them tattooed above my right ankle. It's a beautiful tattoo, but the colors don't compliment my skin coloring. You really need to think of everything when choosing one. But, then tattoos are like potato chips, you can't have just one! So, a year later I got my second tattoo - a sun in bright yellow, orange and red - it goes great with my coloring. Too bad I can't see it - but, I know I'll always have the sun shining on my back. Mine below too!
