The Libran is an uncomplicated easy-going type, driven by a strong inner need to be fair to others. In return, they expect them to be equally fair to him. They are enormously kind-hearted and will do many good deeds in their life; but they also like recognition for any good that they do, indeed Libra - more than any other sign of the zodiac - positively enjoys being showered with thanks, kind remarks and affection.

The Libran cannot bear quarrels, and will try to break up even a comparatively mild argument between two of his friends. Quarrels upset the necessary 'balance' and 'harmony' of life.

They cannot bear the sight of disorder about them, and will do all kinds of unpleasant jobs about the house and garden to restore cleanliness, tidiness, health and well being.

Most Librans do not really blossom or become psychologically rounded people until they are settled in a permanent relationship. In youth the Libran is likely to live through stormy times, for in their need to find the right person they will rush into relationships which they think will be fulfilling, but which may fall a long way short of expectations.

The Libran must be totally involved in a satisfying relationship so as to fulfill their need of relating to someone close to their heart. They feel compelled to keep trying until they are involved in such a relationship, but may suffer a number of heart-breaking experiences in their quest.

The most overwhelming characteristics of Scorpio are their intensity and sense of purpose. They delve deeply, and it is this that is the aim by which they are driven in every situation.

They cannot skim the surface in anything that they do as the pitch of intensity at which they live simply would not allow it. Their feelings are deep, passionate and they are totally devoted to either a person or a cause that they consider theirs. They must live their lives at a high emotional level. If not, they become resentful and brooding, and their highly charged feelings will remain imprisoned within them rather than being positively expressed.

Scorpio must be made aware that such moods may occur, but that they can be prevented so long as they do not repress their true feelings. Psychological upsets can be especially damaging. This working from the hidden depths may produce the underground activity of the criminal with their cruel "sting."

It is good for Scorpio's to have some worthwhile cause something in which they can fully immerse themselves, channelling all their powerful feelings positively; and, if they want to, stirring others into action.

The Scorpio works hard and plays hard. Overindulgence is something that needs conscious control, but this will be a never ending battle within them. They find restraint difficult. As such, they can swing from one drastic action to another going to extreme highs before plunging to extreme depths.

Much is written about the Scorpio cruelty-the sting in the tail. When the Scorpio hurts they really hurt. When they erupt, they will do so with an explosion that will really shake those responsible for their pain.

Scorpio rules the genitals, so this area of the body is most susceptible to influence, therefore vulnerable.

Scorpio is the most potent of all the signs, and such energy, which can be highly intense, may lead to extreme behaviour; so much so that Scorpios may be roused to act with violence, cruelty, even with sadism. They should recognize this lurking power in themselves, the better to control it.

Scorpios are imaginative but cannot easily make their imagination work for them. Because of their intensity, their minds do not always flow positively. Whenever they do however, there is a wealth of creative artistic ability to be expressed. If they can find a proper outlet, they may contribute a great deal to the world, and in so doing, improve their own lives.

In love the Scorpio is extremely passionate with strong sexual feelings. They experience many deeply emotional relationships, each more meaningful than the last; and they will not forget past loves in a hurry.

The most common reason for an end to any relationship involving a Scorpio, is the violent jealousy which their partners are unable to cope with. The Scorpio jealousy in also the cause of many bitter arguments.

The Scorpio is an attentive escort: only the best restaurants, the best hotels will be good enough. They will certainly ensure that the setting is exactly right for the ensuing seduction scene. If the jealousy feelings can be held in check, then the affair may well hit the high spots.

Sagittarians are naturally frank and optimistic. They are lively, have a good sense of humour and are very likeable. Generally speaking, their lives are an open book, they find it too tedious as well as time consuming to be secretive, or to present half-truths.

They are an easy going sign with a friendly and attractive manner. They are both intelligent and intellectual.

Sagittarius is one of the freedom loving signs. They want to go far to explore, both physically and mentally. They cannot under any circumstances cope with claustrophobic conditions, especially living conditions. A small room with no view is their idea of hell.

Partners who try to restrict the freedom of Sagittarius, will be making an unwise move. The Sagittarius motto is "don't fence me in."

They are enormously adaptable and do not find it difficult to completely change their way of life-if they have to.

SAGITTARIUS AND LEO.

The Leo is also your type. For your mutual attitude towards life is invariably identical. You have the same tempo and the same rhythm. You have the same passionate sentimentality and romanticism. There are two distinct types of Capricorn, the "mountain goat" and the "domestic goat."

The mountain goat gaily leaps from crag to crag, mounting higher and higher in their search for what is good. They constantly aspire to higher and higher positions and ambitions to reach the top of whatever sphere or debarred from their wider enjoyments, strictly keeping to the main points of life, which is provision of sustenance for the family by practical sensible work. They never cease in their efforts to "get somewhere," but actually go around in circles.

The Capricorn is practical, cautious, responsible and ambitious. They work hard if it is going to get them somewhere. They are born managers, not just content with managing their own and their partner's lives, they seek to manage the lives of everyone else with whom they come into contact.

They will bear with limitations and frustrations since it is their very nature as conditioned to them.

It is with the realization that success is achieved through their willing acceptance of necessity, that they win through in spite of all obstacles.

When afflicted, Capricorn can be selfish, grasping and miserly. At the best it is not an affectionate sign, and makes a much more dutiful than loving partner or parent.

In love as in every thing else, they are cautious. Before taking on the responsibility of marriage, they will want to be very sure that they are safe in their choice.

Once satisfactorily married "he" is likely to be happy, as "he" is a natural good provider. "She" will be economical and will run the house well, aiding "her" husband in the social side of any "climbing."

Very often Capricorn has a reputation for being "hard." This is sometimes true, but they are hard on themselves as well as on others, keeping a strenuous discipline. They will expect others to do so too and will be surprised and even shocked if they do not live up to their high standards.

They are immensely dependable and very practical; once they give their loyalty, they can be utterly relied upon.

CAPRICORN AND TAURUS.

A Taurean should make you a very good mate. True, both of you are prone to jealousy, but unless either of you is unduly mistrustful a little mutual jealousy should act as a spur to your love. Do not make the great mistake of taking each other too much for granted, You have got to pay some degree of attention to the Taurean if you yourself expect to receive attention. Compared to the so called "normal" individual, Aquarians are freedom-loving, perverse, original, and independent. They possess an abundance of humanitarian qualities and often they do not realize just how much they are contributing to the general good of the human race.

The Aquarian outlook is a very friendly one, and friendship very largely replaces possessive love and sexuality. In spite of a progressive outlook, however, Aquarius is rigid in matters of morality, and tends to hold old-fashioned and early-Victorian ideas in regard to behaviour and change. They therefore find it difficult to adapt to other ways, or even to see that there are other points of view besides their own.

The Aquarian must have their independence, and at times they should be careful to guard against becoming lonely, but the allegiance to those who will accept a friendly association with the limits of such a condition, is faithful and sincere.

Perhaps the most notable failing is eccentricity. In mild form, this can be endearing and sometimes very amusing, but at times Aquarians can be somewhat excessive, and there may be crankiness and even perversity. Under affliction they can become ineffective, lazy muddlers and shiftless wastrels. On a very low plane they are clumsy, blundering, harmless, but well-meaning people with little backbone and less common-sense.

Aquarians are quite "original" in their ways, and have the pleasing habit of anticipating the likes and dislikes of those with whom they come in contact. Hence they are invariably well-liked, and, for this reason, can be a social success. In many ways, they are perhaps eccentric, for example, have eccentric ideas on art-in an attempt to be original, or may be snobbish-in an attempt to establish an air of social pre-eminence.

Because of the quality of eccentricity, they are sometimes difficult critics, and accordingly it is often an exceptional task to please them. Such instances are proof of their need to consciously control their eccentric tendencies, but they will not find this easy, because much of it is merely fun to them and helps to make their life interesting: often, indeed, the shocked reactions of others afford them great amusement.

In their unconventional way they will dare actually to do things that others may only dream about-and furthermore, they will do them in an unconventional manner. Many people would like to express themselves in a 'modern' way, have unconventional relationships and live a free, uncluttered life but are simply nervous of doing so. The Aquarian, on the other hand, tend to be ahead of their time; at present, for instance, many are already in spirit living in the twenty-first century.

It may be difficult for the Aquarian to fall deeply in love. They are naturally a friendly person, but tend to prefer many ties of friendship-with people of both sexes- to a single deep emotional involvement. However, once they have been charmed to the point of thinking of love in emotional terms, they will concentrate their attentions and will also be extremely faithful.

They are something of an innovator, and will like to experiment in their love-making; but, even when deeply in love, they retain some element of their 'distant' self, holding on to their independence; a sensible partner will recognize their needs.

Marriage is not the easiest sphere of life; they need partners who understand their strongly individual character. It must be recognized that the Aquarian is extremely independent and cannot bear possessiveness. All the same, they can be great fun and, once committed to a partnership, are extremely loyal and faithful; commitment is likely to be a far more serious matter for them than it is for many others.

AQUARIUS AND GEMINI.

You would have a splendid mate in a Geminian because mental interests predominate. In other words you have the type of mentality which interests the other. You both like novelty and change. You both have artistic aptitudes and inclinations.

AQUARIUS AND LIBRA

If you marry a Libran you will probably not have made a bad choice at all. The Piscean is essentially emotional, intuitional and expansive, going to extremes of elation and depression. They are the most sensitive of all Water signs, reflecting what they see, taking the shape into which they are poured. This is noticeable in the way they depend on others for "shaping" or support.

The pure Piscean is the kindest, gentlest and most emotional creature on earth. One look into a pair of Piscean eyes is enough to show that tears of joy or sorrow are never very far away. Other signs are emotional-some in a disruptive, deep and passionate way, others with fiery enthusiasm; but the Piscean emotion tops them all, for it is pure beyond description.

At best they are a well of sympathy, charitableness, benevolence, and hospitality, and as a rule the native of Pisces are kind, sympathetic, imaginative, and highly emotional. They are improvident, intuitive, receptive and mediumistic, and lovers of peace, but are generally not very practical. The sign is a sensational one that tends to be swayed by every emotion, and puts up very little resistance to temptation.

Their emotional qualities seem to represent the very essence of the Piscean, and even if they have never been positively creative, their nature is deeply imbued with the artistic spirit. It may only be expressed in flights of fancy, or, because of an all too prevalent sense of inferiority, may not be expressed at all.

The worst Piscean fault is their tendency to misread a situation. This tendency may give them great problems if it is not somehow controlled. Self-deception is a dangerous characteristic and it is regrettably easy for the Piscean to convince themselves both that they are different from the way they really are, and also that situations are not what they seem.

The vices of the sign are based upon weaknesses and emotionalism rather than upon any real depravity, and much will depend upon the upbringing environment, and choice of friends and associates. While the negative side of the Pisces nature is not very inviting, the more robust and positive type make the kindest, most loving, devoted and sympathetic of wives and husbands, They are extremely responsive and this tends to make them very good mates in the physical sense of the word. They are adaptable and experimental and their concept of sex is on a high plane.

Their way of helping will usually be enormously practical; no job will be too humble, no work too unpleasant or dirty, it is directed towards the ever-present need to relieve other people's suffering or general discomfort. They will express their personality through their artistic abilities. They will be able to elevate their fellow mortals to their own wonderful fantasy world-the kind of world that might well be inhabited by hobbits, sylphs, gnomes or elves.

The call of the intangible brings the Piscean into touch with all that is mystical, beautiful, not of this earth. About such things, more practical people may use phrases such as "up in the clouds," "smoke dreams," " unattainable Utopia," "ideas of sloppy sentimentality," "bubble schemes," but the Pisces must be allowed to make heaven on earth in their own way and no other.

When a Pisces falls in love, they fall extremely hard. Their heart will probably be broken many times, and they will experience pleasure and pain in this sphere of their life. They are great romantics, and their loved one will be greatly charmed, no doubt, by their delightful presents of flowers and perfumes, and splendid evenings out. They will be a poetical, lyrical lover but not very practical about the financial necessities of marriage.

More than any other Zodiacal types, they need to be careful in the selection of a matrimonial partner, for they are so easily persuaded and are so readily suggestible that they may find themselves married to just the very partner they should be at pains to avoid.

The Arian's most striking characteristics are their natural enthusiasm and their simple, straightforward approach to life. They are born leaders with the desire to be out in front. They will forge their way through life with courage, daring, energy,initiative and enterprise. They advance by assertive aggressiveness, caring little for the feelings of others. Their attitude has been described as "Me first."

Aries is a rash, impetuous and headstrong sign, and tends to be impulsive in love affairs and marriage as in everything else. As befits a marital sign it is passionate, but at the same time there is a good deal of idealism, and sexual indulgence is a matter more of sudden impulse than of deliberate seeking. It makes a very positive type which does not harmonize well with a positive partner, so that it tends to seek someone of a weaker nature whom it can impress within its masculine qualities and can protect.

Normally Aries is a better sign for a man than a woman. The Aries woman is apt to be too masterful, and too much of a whirlwind in the house for anyone who is not a quiet and passive type. She is capable and generous, but can become loud, self-opinionated, shrewish and bossy under affliction.

The Aries nature is an intense one, capable of sudden violence and great jealousy. Their lack of diplomacy is something that they should try and deal with, otherwise they may find themselves up-setting one person too many, and as a result losing some important 'out-front' position.

They are quick tempered and therefore should try to take a deep breath and think before exploding. Having exploded however, they will bear no malice, and all will quickly be over.

Aries is an enterprising species, and hate to let the grass grow under their feet. This applies both in small ways and in important projects that concern their whole progress in life. When working within a large organization, Arians will hasten to make their presence felt, and will use their enterprising spirit to carry them along. They may reveal at times a touch of ruthlessness, which they must consciously try to keep under reasonable control if they are not to mar the lively, likeable and enthusiastic qualities that most people admire in them.

They do not adapt well to change and strive always to have a regular pattern in life. They also take great comfort from familiar possessions and are loathe to discard any of their belongings. From their first teddy bear to the first love letter, the typical Taurian will have stored these items in the 'never to be thrown away' cabinet.

One of the most marked characteristics of the sign is obstinacy, and neither the man or the woman with Taurus rising can be driven, though he or she can very easily be led by affection. The outlook of Gemini is a purely mental one, and sex interests are quite secondary in their mind. The Gemini is essentially a cold-blooded sign, without great passion but with great morals.

They must be kept busy. They need to be constantly flicking their way through the events of the day, in order to move onto the next lively, amusing challenge. Rarely does the Gemini confine themselves to merely performing one task. They are capable of doing many things at the same time. They like to work with a musical background and can be quite insatiable in their work, with many less energetic mortals finding them rather wearing.

The Gemini is at their best in any sphere where their natural urges can be expressed. They are better at doing 'mental' rather than 'physical' or heavy manual work.

The Leo knows how to org anise better than anyone else. When they hit town, the only course for lesser mortals is to let them take over. They will rule and organize with great magnanimity.

Leos can fall into a trap. This can happen if they have risen suddenly to fame and fortune, If they have not had experience of life and a sound, sensible upbringing, the glamour of money can go to their heads. The Virgoan is supremely neat, clean and tidy. They are also extremely careful and hard working. The latter in fact, is their most important feature. The Virgoan's intensity is something of a mixed blessing; for in their haste to move from A to B, they may well miss a few opportunities to enjoy the quieter, more reflective moments in life.

They are essentially workers and often as a server to others. They do not want to take the lead, preferring to be led. The constant attention to detail makes a most careful worker where observation and exactitude matter. It brings personal neatness and precision. With the practicality of Earth, sensible necessary tasks are enjoyed and not shirked, and with the adaptability of Mutability, the constant change of detail in work is enjoyed.

The desire for purity leads to an interest in hygiene and cleanliness while the correlation with inviolability leads to a desire to be happy within the home or the work-place, so long as others do not intrude too casually and without invitation. Many Virgos intensely dislike too close a proximity with others or to be touched too much.
