Half-Life!

Half-Life is BY FAR my favorite game I have ever played, single and multi-player. It's graphics are amazing, gameplay is solid, it has a gripping story and it's artificial intelligence is outstanding! You would have to try it for yourself to understand what I mean. You can download the demo here.
There are also many other sites related to halflife and it's multiplayer mod Team Fortress Classic. Be on the lookout for the upcoming release of Team Fortress 2 : Brotherhood of Arms, and the current expansion, Half-life : Opposing Force!

Halflife system requirements:
minimum: pentium 133, 24 MB RAM, 16-bit high color, 2x CD-ROM, 400MB free hard drive space.
recommended: pentium 166, 32 MB RAM, 3d accelerator card, 28.8+ modem

I still don't have a name for it other than cool.map, but it's close to being done. There are some ancient pics of it on the main page, and I should put some new ones up soon.
