This is where all my friends and some family will be mentioned and possibly described. Pictures are on their way...maybe...if I get around to it. Blah, blah, blah.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Well, here we go. First of all, I'll mention some family. I have 3 brothers and a sister. The oldest brother, Terry, grew up with me. He just turned 25 this year. He's got the height in the family being 6'4". I'm a towering 5'5". LOL He is a perfect example of miracles today. He was shot in the back of the neck by a .45 and lived to tell about it. The bullet exited the front of his cheek, and missed everything but flesh and some muscle. Even the doctors had to agree that it was a miracle, he should have been DOA. We have different fathers, but I often forget that fact. We grew closer when I ran off and enlisted in the Navy in '95. That's how it usually goes, though. I try to be a better influence now than I was before I spent those years in the service. It was kind of hard before, because I lived like a thousand miles away. In 2003 I moved from Texas up close to where my family lives in Iowa. At first it was a struggle trying to get close to him because we'd spent so much time apart and he felt like I wasn't there for the important teenage years, but eventually we bonded. We now call each other not only brother, but best friend.
On to the other siblings, I have my sister Lizzy who is a month younger than Terry. She lives in Cali as do my other two little bro's Eric and Alex. I share the same father as them. I really didn't talk to Lizzy until after I joined the military. I had to do some background searching for my job in the military, and decided that I needed to be closer to the rest of my family. I got to see Lizzy, Eric, and Alex in Feb '00. It was so awesome! I have some cool family. I wish I just lived closer to them so I could see them more.
Friends. I gotta start this list with my best friend Justin up in Oklahoma. Some of ya'll might know him as meggablaze on Yahoo!. Without Justin back home to talk to, I think I'd have gone crazy in the Navy. We've had so many adventures together. A few of which are mentioned on my main page. Then there's Jonas. He is also mentioned on the main page. Back in DC, is Cvik, we were roommates in the Navy. Without him, I'd probably have gone insane a few times. He's also always been there with a solid piece of advice anytime I needed it for anything. I actually haven't talked to him in a few years, I know he's married with a kid though. I guess people just fade when their lives take different directions. Another friend that I haven't spoken to in forever, but have to mention is Latisha. Here is a picture of Tish and I at the 1998 USACOM Winter Ball. Without her, I would probably be dead right now. When I was at rock bottom, the end of my rope, and ready to die, she showed up in my life. I was in a world of depression. I was praying to God for someone to appear from somewhere to help me out of the pit I'd dug for myself. She had been assigned to USACOM somehow, even though her orders were for somewhere else. Then, she ended up working with me on my shift. We began talking about religion, our pasts, and then where we wanted to be in life. Together, we decided it was time to get our lives straight. Through many trials and hard times, we grew to be best of friends. She went to officer school as I was leaving the Navy and is probably an LT now. She's also married and has a kid.
BETA. Last, but far from least, are my brothers in the Beta Theta Pi, Delta Rho chapter at my old university. Especially the ones that were there back in my day. They've seen me through some of the hardest trials I've ever faced in my life. I owe them my life. __kai__
