And then in October of '97 Bill and I took the new Harley on the Ferry to Nova Scotia to visit Gina....This is an 11 hour ride and there was a hurricane way out to sea....Talk about a ride...my drink in the lounge went around the table in a complete circle at one point...WHOA!!...That boat was listing BIG time..I feared for the bike..And the sleep was a real joy too....The darn ship almost threw me out of bed..*L*

OK...Upon docking and customs etc...We rode off up the Evangeline trail....BUT...It was so foggy my pics didn't come out...GRRRR......For that part of the ride anyway...*L*..We went about 2 miles and were soaked from the dense fog...had to pull over and do the "Put the Chaps on Dance"*L*....Always a fun one...People tooting the horn..WOOOOOOHOOOOO.*L*

I did a bit of genealogy when we stopped in Grand Pre....Very interesting...I'll make a page on that later when I get more pics scanned...But in the meantime...This pic is of some kind of wheelbarrow....I found it odd and had to take a pic of it...This was in a church courtyard where my ancestors had lived for a couple of hundred years before every male in the area was taken prisoner in the Church..held for deportation...*sigh*....That is where most of the Louisana French originally came from..My family was sent to Richibucto, New Brunswick with that deportation...HEY!!....A bit of history here..Sorry to bore you..*L*

OK....so we FINALLY got to the Motel...*L*..We had a GREAT time....Here are a few pics we took....*smile*.

Canada has a helmet law....*sigh*...I'm pointing to the helmet...NOT flexing my muscles....*L*

And then Gina wanted to go on the bike.......OK....She didn't want to ..we talked her in to it.....*LOL*....

But she needed moral support.......I gave her some....

And more moral support....*L*..Sinergy gave her some....

And off she went.....*LOL*

And then we had to leave...*pout*

And it was the longest damn ride I've ever taken to get home.....*sigh*...
We got soaked after crossing the border in to Maine.....Took off the rain gear and helmets and the clouds opened up...Of course!!....
And we pulled over and I changed in to dry clothes on the side of the road....After 11 straight hours on the bike...NO ONE was going to give me shit about being half nude on the side of the raod...Trust me!!!..I wasn't in the mood to take any crap!....*LMAO*

Well,anyway....Trust your instincts when meeting a net person in R/T....I did...and I certainly am glad that we've met and will continue to be friends and visit in real time.......*smile*
