We can't forget there was a time when the Internet was a science fiction dream, or a privilege for the elites, and the only way for fans to stay connected were fanzines and fanclubs. Photocopied black and white sheets, you had to send money and wait months to receive them, but at the time it was the top, it made you so happy to receive in your mailbox (the real one), news, bootleg lists and reports entirely devoted to your favourite band. It was our Internet made of paper, a Papernet. And it is, as some brave people are still doing fanzines...
Still cool after all, no multimedia and sophisticated design, but you have the issues on your shelf and you don't have to turn on the computer to read them. I think it's fair to remember them, and list them as I do with the sites. Again, please help me listing them with any information you have. |

(1984) - - - This was a large compilation of press articles from around the world from Joy Division to 1984 (in the last updated version).
- LAST ORDERS
- - - I've only heard about this fanziine: it seems it started somewhere in the second half of the Eighties and ceased publication in the early 90s.
- PARADISE
1989 - David Smith, Oliver Cain - England - Last issue received in 1999.
- DECADES
1994 (1994) - - Richard Lewis - Wales - I know of only one issue.
- NOISE
1994 (1995) - - Andrea Lum, Lisa Hill - USA - The name stood for New Order Information SErvice.
- TWENTY YEARS TOO LATE
2002 - http://neworderfanzine.8m.com/ - Eleanor Whitney, Tya - USA - With interviews with artists influenced by new order or related to them.
