Could you get used to waking up to see this every morning? I sure did. This was actually behind my apartment/townhouse when I lived in Essex, a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland.

Driving along Natches Trace in Mississippi just outside Jackson, you will come across many cypress swamp areas. Watch out for the mosquitos tho, they're awfully hungry.

I can't remember the exact location of this roadside "pond" but it was somewhere between Sandestin and Destin, Florida. We were on an outing to Henderson Beach and had stopped to admire the greenery along the roadside.
None of my pages are complete without pictures of the seaoats. This particular picture was taken in December 2002 from the beach.
I think this is one of my all time favorite pictures .. well maybe second favorite, the one above is starting to grow on me. This was taken in 1997 I believe. This area used to be a Military testing site of some sort and was leveled during Hurricane Opal. Some of the blacktop and foundation is still present and the military allows people to traverse the beach thru and access area now. This is my favorite place to go as it's not well known and I can walk and be alone with my thoughts for at least a mile in either direction.

This was taken during a trip to the Jackson Zoo in Jackson Mississippi. I have loved this picture since I took it and have often thought about submitting it in photo contests. This scan really does it a great injustice as the real picture looks like it could be a postcard. I was proud of this one anyway.
