A little Bit about where I grew up...
Trinidad and Tobago was once a British colony until 1962, when we gained our independence. The exact
date being August 31st, 1962. But, it was not until September 24th, 1976 did Trinidad and Tobago became a
republic. The one responsible for our independence and being a republic goes be the name of Dr. Eric
Williams, who then became the first Prime Minister.

Before I came to the United States, Trinidad and Tobago had three news weeklies in circulation, two of which are online:

For some who may not have heard, but Trinidad is the birth pan of the Steel pan. The only musical instrument
inverted in the twentieth century. I also found two sites can enlight anyone about pan and it's history. One of
them is a Pan FAQ and the other site gives some
history about pan.
Now, here is a site with a really cool frontpage, and there is some
stuff about Trinidad also...
