Campground  1. Birch Grove

This campground is a family favorite. Birch Grove Campground has 16 campsites and is nestled between East Twin Lake (22 acres) and West Twin Lake (16 acres). Each campsite has a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, tent pad, and can accommodate RV's up to 35 feet. Drinking water, vault toilets, a fishing pier, small picnic area, and an interpretive trail are available. Each lake has a small boat access, and featured fish species include bass, panfish, and northern pike. There is a campground host to greet visitors. The nearby Valhalla Trail can be used for ATV, horse riding, hunting, mountain biking and hiking. From Washburn, follow Hwy. 13 south 1 mile, turn right (west) on the Wannebo Rd. for 8 miles. Turn right (north) on Forest Road 252 for 2 miles and right (east) on Forest Road 435 for 1 mile.

Campground  2. Wanoka Lake

Located approximately 7 miles east of Iron River, this campground is situated on a 15-acre trout lake. Wanoka Lake Campground has 20 sites. Each site has a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad, and can accommodate RV's up to 35 feet. There is a campground host available to greet visitors. Drinking water and vault toilets are available. There is a carry-in-boat access. The Tri-County Corridor Trail is also nearby and is an excellent place to ride ATV's. Follow US Hwy 2 East for about 7 miles and turn right (south) on Forest Road 234.

Campground  3. Perch Lake

This quaint campground is a family favorite. Located approximately 5.5 miles north of Drummond on Forest Highway 35, there are 16 campsites. Each site includes a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. Most sites can accommodate RV's up to 35 feet. Drinking water and vault toilets are available. A developed boat ramp provides access to a 72-acre lake that contains trout, panfish, and largemouth bass. There is a campground host available to greet visitors. Nearby attractions include the Rainbow Lake Wilderness, the North Country National Scenic Trail, trout fishing in the White River, and the Rust-Owen Reservoir.

Campground  4. Two Lakes

Located on the east side of the beautiful 1,323-acre Lake Owen, this campground has 90 sites. Shaded campsites nestled under towering pines and hardwoods is the setting for this campground. Each campsite includes a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, tent pad and can accommodate RV's up to 50 feet. The campground has drinking water, a pay telephone, vault toilets, a fishing pier, two swimming beaches, two developed boat ramps, a dump station for RV's, and an interpretive trail. Lake Owen and Bass Lake contain panfish, northern pike, walleye, bass and trout. There are 7 walk-in campsites. Campsites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. Accessible sites for people with disabilities are also available. There is a campground host to greet visitors. The North Country National Scenic Trail and Porcupine Lake Wilderness are adjacent or near the campground. From Drummond follow forest Road 213 southeast to the intersection of Forest Road 213 and 216. Veer left (east) and continue on forest Road 213 for 2 miles. Veer right (south) onto Forest Road 214 and travel one-half mile to the campground.

Campground  5. Lake Three

If you are interested in a quiet campground, Lake Three Campground is for you. It offers 8 campsites in a hardwood forest on the 63-acre Lake Three. Three of the campsites have a nice overlook of the lake. Each site offers a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. The campsites can accommodate RV's up to 30 feet. Drinking water, vault toilets, and a boat launch are available. The North Country National Scenic Trail is adjacent to the campground. Nearby is Springbrook, which is Class 1 brook trout stream. Lake Three has bass and panfish waiting for your line. While you're in the area, be sure to visit Morgan Falls, St. Peter's Dome, and the Pahokee Overlook. Travel west from Mellen on County Highway GG, then turn right (north) on forest Road 187.

Campground  6. Beaver Lake

This campground is located on a 35-acre trout and channel catfish lake. There are 10 sites that can accommodate RV's up to 30 feet. Campsites include a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. Drinking water, and vault toilets are available. The boat launch is located one-half mile from the campground. Beaver Lake has brown and brook trout, channel catfish, and perch. A spur trail connects the campground to the North Country National Scenic Trail. Travel west from Mellen 8 miles on County Highway GG and turn right (north) on Forest Road 187 for 3 miles. Turn left (west) Forest Road 198 for two miles.

Campground  7. Mineral Lake

Located on the 256-acre Mineral Lake, this campground is approximately 10 miles west of Mellen, on County Highway GG. It has 12 campsites, each including a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. The campsites can accommodate RV's up to 30 feet. Drinking water and vault toilets are available. Mineral Lake offers musky, bass, walleye, and panfish. Eagle watching is a favorite activity on this lake. A picnic area and boat launch are located one mile north on Forest Road 187.

Campground  8. East Twin Lake

Located on the 110-acre East Twin Lake, this campground is a family favorite. The campground offers 11 sites that can accommodate RV's up to 30 feet. A developed boat ramp, picnic area, drinking water, fishing pier, and vault toilets are available. Each campsite has a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. East Twin Lake and nearby West Twin Lake have a variety of fish including bass, musky, and panfish. Drive 4 miles north of Clam Lake on County Highway GG and turn right (east) on Forest Road 190 for one mile.

Campground  9. Day Lake

Shaded campsites nestled under towering pine is the setting for the Day Lake Campground. This campground is just one mile north of Clam Lake on County Highway GG. There are 66 campsites and each has a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. Campsites can accommodate RV's up to 45 feet. There are also 3 walk-in campsites. Drinking water, vault toilets, play area, swimming beach, and a fishing pier are available. Campsites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. Six paved barrier-free campsites are available. Paved trails connect these sites to the fishing pier. A boat launch and picnic area are located 2 miles south of the campground on County Highway M. Day Lake is 632 acres with excellent musky fishing...and legal sized muskies have been caught from the fishing pier. Day Lake is also known for eagles loons and deer visiting near the campground.

Campground  10. Stockfarm Bridge

If you enjoy canoeing and fishing, then Stockfarm Bridge is perfect for you. Located on the banks of the Chippewa River this campground offers 7 secluded campsites under towering red pine trees. This campground is located 11 miles southwest of Glidden. Campsites have a parking spur, fire ring, picnic table, and tent pad. Drinking water, vault toilets, picnic area, and boat launch are available. Garbage service is not provided in this campground. Please pack out what you bring with you. Travel west of Glidden on County Highway D to Forest Road 167. Turn left (south) on Forest Road 166, then turn left (east) on Forest Road 164.

Campground  11. Namekagon

This campground is situated on a large lake that is the headwaters of the Namekagon River. There are 33 sites which can accommodate RV's between 35-45 feet. All sites have fire grates and picnic tables. Campsites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. Also available are water pumps, accessible vault toilets, boat ramp, fishing pier, swimming beach, picnic ground, pay telephone, and picnic shelter. Recreation opportunities in the area include excellent fishing, wildlife viewing, mountain biking trails, and hiking on the North Country National Scenic Trail. Located approximately 17 miles east of Cable, drive east on Highway M 10.9 miles to Highway D. Turn left (north) on D and proceed 5.5 miles to Forest Road 209. Turn left (west) and proceed 0.3 miles to the campground.

Campground  12. Moose Lake

If you really want to get away from it all, then this is the place for you. There are 15 campsites of which 4 are tent only. The rest can accommodate RV's from 25-40 feet campsites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. All Campsites have fire grates and picnic tables. Also available are water pumps, vault toilets, swimming beach and a boat ramp. Travel east from Hayward on Highway 77 for 26.8 miles. Turn right (south) on Forest Road 174 and drive 6.1 miles. Turn right (west) on Forest Road 1643 for 1.5 miles to the campground.

Campground  13. Black Lake

If you are looking for solitude then this is the campground for you. Black Lake has 26 drive in campsites and 3 walk-in sites. Each site has a fire grate and picnic table and can accommodate RV's up to 45 feet. Most campsites have a level surface. Water pumps, accessible vault toilets, two boat ramps, a swimming beach, and picnic area are also available. Campsites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. Black Lake has a 4-mile interpretive trail that follows the wooded shoreline. Travel east from Hayward on Highway B for 26 miles to the intersection of B, Highway W and Fishtrap Road. Turn left (north) on Fishtrap Road and drive 4.9 miles to the intersection of Forest Road 173 and drive 0.4 miles to the entrance. Turn right (east) on the campground road and proceed 0.5 miles.

Campground  14. Wabasso Recreation Area

This campground is located about one mile west of the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation and is perfect for primitive camping. Wabasso Lake is 49-acres and has an excellent panfish population. Drinking water and toilets are located at the boat landing. Three walk/canoe-in campsites contain fire grills and picnic tables. Please pack out what you bring with you. Garbage service is not provided in this camping area. Only electric boat motors are permitted on Wabasso Lake. Gasoline powered boats are prohibited. From Lac du Flambeau travel west on Forest Road 142 for 3 miles, turn right (north) on Forest Road 514 to the campground.

Campground  15. Emily Lake

This rustic facility is located on Emily Lake which is 26-acres in size. Drinking water and a vault toilet are available. Each of the 10 campsites has a parking spur, fire grill, and picnic table. A boat landing provides access for canoeing, swimming, and fishing. Emily Lake supports a good panfish population. From Lac du Flambeau, travel west on Forest Road 142 for 3.5 miles. Turn right (north) on forest Road 1178 to the campground.

Campground  16. Twin Lakes

This 17 campsite facility is a family favorite with good trout and pan fishing. Twin Lake is 19-acres in size and has good fish populations. A small sandy beach and boat landing are available for activities like canoeing, swimming, and fishing. this campground is adjacent to the Round Lake Non-motorized area. Each campsite has a parking spur, picnic table and fire grill. Two campsites have a hardened surface, accessible grills, and easy access to drinking water and vault toilets. Located about 21 miles from Park Falls, travel east on State Highway 182 to Forest Road 144. Turn right (south) and travel 5 miles to Forest Road 142. Turn left (east) for 2 miles to the campground entrance.

Campground  17. Smith Rapids

This small campground has 13 sites and is located on the South fork of the Flambeau River. This campground provides an ideal focal point for hiking, river fishing, horseback riding and canoeing. Nine campsites are designed to accommodate horse trailers with extra long parking spurs, hitching rails, picnic tables, and fire grills. A carry-in boat access, vault toilets, picnic shelter, and day use picnic area are also provided. Two group sites are available for larger groups and may be reserved through a campground reservation system. A special feature near this campground is the Smith Rapids Covered Bridge. Travel east from Fifield, on State Highway 70 for 12.5 miles and turn left (north) on Forest Road 148 for 2 miles.

Campground  18. Sailor Lake

This secluded campground offers 20 sites that can accommodate RV's up to 35 feet. A developed boat ramp, scenic picnic shelter, and trail spur providing access to the Flambeau Trail system are also available. Sailor Lake supports a good panfish and northern pike population. Shady campsites include a parking spur, fire grill, picnic table, and tent pad. Drinking water, and vault toilets are provided. Three group sites are available for larger groups and can be reserved through a campground reservation service. The Flambeau ATV Trail is multiple-use and open to ATV's, off-road motorcycles, horseback riding, hunting, mountain biking and hiking. Located approximately 11 miles southeast of Fifield follow State Highway 70 east from Fifield for 7.5 miles and turn right (south) on Forest Road 139 for 3 miles.

Campground  19. Eastwood

Located approximately 23 miles north of Medford, this campground is nestled along the scenic shores of the Mondeaux Flowage. The 22 shady campsites include parking spurs, fire grills, picnic tables, and tent pads. Drinking water, free firewood and accessible vault toilets are available. Sites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. Travel north from Medford on State Highway 13 for about 15 miles. Then turn left (west) on county trunk highway D for 6.5 miles, then turn left (south) on Forest Road 104 for 1.5 miles. Turn left (south) at Forest Road 104 and travel 0.5 miles to the campground entrance.

Campground  20. Spearhead Point

Located approximately 21 miles from Medford, this campground is perched along the western shores of the Mondeaux Flowage. This 27-unit campground is the most popular on the Mondeaux Flowage. There is a boat access and many sites have small docks which can be used for fishing or landing a boat. the Ice Age National Scenic Trail is easily accessed from the campground. Drinking water, picnic shelter, vault toilets, and free firewood are provided. Sites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. Travel north from Medford on State Highway 13 for 4 miles, then turn left (west) on County trunk Highway M for 7 miles. Turn right (north) on County Trunk Highway E for 8.5 miles, then turn right (east) on Forest Road 106 and look for the entrance sign at the top of the hill.

Located approximately 22 miles from Medford, this 15-unit campground lies on the western shores of the Mondeaux Flowage. Campsites have a parking spur, fire grill, and picnic table. Drinking water, accessible vault toilets, and free firewood are provided. Travel north from Medford for 4 miles on State Hwy. 13. Turn left (west) on County Trunk Highway M for about 7 miles. Turn right (north) on County Trunk Highway E for 8.5 miles, then turn right (east) on Forest Road 1563 for 1 mile. Turn right (east) for 1 mile to the campground entrance.

This quiet and secluded campground has 6 campsites. Each campsite has a parking spur, fire grill, and picnic table. A small swimming beach, boat access, fishing pier, picnic area, drinking water, vault toilets, and free firewood are provided. Travel north from Medford on State Highway 13 for 4 miles. Turn left (west) on County Trunk Highway M for 7 miles, then turn right (north) on County Trunk Highway E for 6 miles. Turn right (east) on forest Road 102 for 1 mile, then turn right (south) on forest Road 566 for 1 mile to the campground entrance.

Campground  24. Kathryn Lake

If you are interested in a quiet campground with good fishing, then Kathryn Lake is for you. A boat access to the 62-acre Kathryn lake along with a small swimming beach will round out your visit here. This campground has ten sites equipped with fire grills and picnic tables. Drinking water, vault toilets, and free firewood are provided. Travel north from Medford on State Highway 13 for 4 miles, then turn left (west) on County Trunk Highway M for 15 miles. Turn left (south) for 0.5 miles on Forest Road 121 campground entrance.

Campground  25. Chippewa

This 78-unit campground is situated along the eastern shores of the 2,714-acre Chequamegon Waters Flowage. Campsites can accommodate RV's up to 35 feet. A boat ramp, 2 swimming beaches, playground, trailhead for the Perkins town Motorized Trail, trailer sanitary station, fish cleaning station, and free firewood are provided. Campsites include a parking spur, fire grill, picnic table, and tent pad. Four sites are accessible for persons with disabilities. Three campground loops have hot showers and flush toilets, and one loop has accessible vault toilets and running water. Campsites may be reserved through a campground reservation system. While you're in the area, be sure to watch the abundant wildlife or fish for largemouth bass in the Chequamegon Waters Flowage. Travel north from Medford on State Highway 13 for 4 miles. Turn left (west) on County Trunk Highway M for about 24 miles, then turn left (south) on Forest road 1417 for 1 mile to the campground entrance.
