My Dark Mood

The stars no longer shine... 
the moonlight has faded away...
and the sun no longer comes up...
The darkness rolls in like clouds before a storm...
and the tears fall like rain upon my cheeks...
Hearing the thunder as my heart beats loudly
thoughts flashing through my mind like lightning
crashing down my spirit...
weakening it beyond recognition,
my soul feeling lost as it wanders aimlessly
trying to find its way through the storm.

The darkness has taken over completely
not able to see what lies ahead
I fall off the edge into the darkness
the night gets cold... my body shivers 
in this bleak, cold place...

Wanting to find the solace of a warm embrace,
reaching my arms out in front of me,
I can feel nothing but the cold dampness
enveloping me in a mist of despair.

My body not able to go on,
it falls to the cold damp floor.
and waits for the storm to pass
as my soul searches for 
the rays of the sun...

I found the rays of the sun...
may the rays of the sun
lift you from that bleak, cold place
