~The Rose~

By~Bette Midler~

~Some say love, it is a river that drowns the tender reed. Some say love, it is a razor that leaves your soul to bleed. Some say love, it is a hunger, an endless aching need. I say love, it is a flower, and you its only seed.~

~Here is a special rose to you, words can not describe what I feel for my cyber friends, whether I have known you for one day or one hundred years,I am grateful to have met you. whenever you feel lonely or discouraged, remember this special rose and know that you are in my heart and in my prayers,we are all hand picked from God`s unique garden, chosen as a special rose......GOD Loves You. I hope you enjoy some of the pictures from my 100s of Rose and other plants, more will be added~

~God created the rose in likeness of a woman. The rose represents beauty. The stem represents strength. The petals are soft as skin. The fragrance pure and sweet. The leaves represent arms outstretched-always loving and giving. Each time you look at this rose, remember God made you special!~

This area is all roses now.

~THE ROSE TALKED BACK~

~The man, sweeping the temple paused for a moment. He looked at the flowers lying about in disorder. "What waste!" he said to himself. Those roses had adorned the pulpit at a wedding an hour before. Now, all was over, and they were waiting to be discarded.~

~The attendant, leaning on his sweeper, was lost in thought, when he suddenly heard a strange sound. One of the roses replied to him.~

~"Do you call this a waste?" the flower protested. "What is life anyway, yours or mine, but a means of service? My mission was to create some fragrance and beauty, and when I have fulfilled it, my life has not been wasted."~

~"And what greater privilege is there than to adorn a bride's way to her beloved, what greater privilege than to help glorify the moment when a bride and groom seal their faith in each other by entering the covenant of marriage?"~

~Our little flower paused for a moment to watch the man's face, and then continued her discourse. "Roses are like people. They live in deeds, not in time. My glory was but for a brief hour, but you should have seen the joy in the bride's eye."~

~"I like to believe that I had something to do with it, by creating a suitable setting for the moment of her supreme happiness. So, don't grieve for me. My life has been worthwhile." Having spoken her little piece, the rose was once more silent.~

~The attendant, startled from his reverie, and a little wiser, pushed the sweeper again and continued with his work.~

~THE LESSON OF THE ROSE~
~It is said that gardeners sometimes, when they would bring a rose to richer flowering, deprive it for a season of light and moisture. Silent and dark it stands, dropping one faded leaf after another, and seeming to go down patiently to death.~

~But when every leaf is dropped, and the plant stands stripped to the uttermost, a new life is even then working in the buds, from which shall spring a tender foliage and a brighter wealth of flowers.~

~So, often, in celestial gardening every leaf of earthly joy must drop before a new and divine bloom visits the soul.~

~Harriet Beecher Stowe~

~GROWING ROSES FOR THE WORLD~
~A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully, and before it blossomed, he examined it. He saw the bud that would soon blossom and also the thorns. And he thought, "How can any  beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns?" Saddened by  this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and before it was ready to  bloom, it died.~

~So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth grow amid the thorns of our faults.~

~Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects. We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies " We  Never  Realize Our  Potential"~

~Some people do not see the Rose Within Themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the Greatest Gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns and find the rose within others.~

~This is the Characteristic of Love, to look at a person, and knowing his faults look into his or her soul, and help them realize that they can overcome these faults.~

~If we show him the rose,he will conquer the thorns. Then will he blossom, blooming forth thirty, sixty, a hundred-fold as it is given to him.~

~Live your life and  help others by showing them their Roses and not their Thorns. Only then can we achieve the love we should feel for  each other.Only Then Can We Bloom In Our Own Garden.~

~A ROSE FOR MY FRIEND~
~No lovelier gift could life send Than a beautiful rose or a special friend.~

~Roses are for remembrance, a reminder that each day Someone's thinking of you In a warm and loving way.~

~A rose can't keep its sweetness in... It gives and keeps on giving.~

~And special friends can't help but to Add a special joy to living.~

~A little bit of sunshine and the bud becomes a Rose. A little bit of kindness and a friendship blooms and Grows.~

~ROSE OF SHARON~
~Roses! Masterpiece of art, From our great Creator's heart! Colorful and fragrant too, Sparkling fresh with speckled dew.~

~Petals fashioned with such grace, Glowing beauty on each face. As they smile and look above, Seems they whisper, "God is Love!"~

~No words are there to well portray, The beauty of a rose display. Amidst the thorns, they glow and shine, With glory from His hand divine.~

~And hearts are thrilled, drawn with love's glow. To gaze in joy where roses grow. But there's a Rose more lovely far Than anywhere rose gardens are.~

~The Rose of Sharon whom we love, Who came from His bright throne above. Our hearts are drawn to Him each day, Our Savior and the Life, the Way!~

~Whose saving grace, whose loving power, Can guard our lives each day, each hour. We too can shine, in Him reborn, Though plagued so oft by sin's sharp thorn.~

~If we just come and gaze and pray, His beauty soon our lives display. Sin's thorns in life soon will be gone, When He comes back, Oh glorious dawn!~

~The Rose of Sharon, brigher far Than anywhere rose gardens are! Let's take the time to stand and gaze And learn of Him, love's caring ways!~

~THE MOST BEAUTIFUL FLOWER~
~Disillusioned by life with good reason to frown, For the world was intent on dragging me down. And if that weren't enough to ruin my day, A young boy out of breath approached me, all tired from play.~

~He stood right before me with his head tilted down And said with great excitement, "Look what I found!" In his hand was a flower what a pitiful sight, With its petals all worn, not enough rain, or too little light.~

~Wanting him to take his dead flower and go off to play, I faked a small smile and then shifted away. But instead of retreating he sat next to my side And placed the flower to his nose and declared with surprise,~

~"It sure smells pretty and it's beautiful, too. That's why I picked it; here, it's for you." The weed before me was dying......or dead. Not vibrant of colors, orange, yellow or red.~

~But I knew I must take it, or he might never leave. So I reached for the flower, and replied, "Just what I need." But instead of him placing the flower in my hand, He held it mid-air without reason or plan.~

~It was then that I noticed for the very first time That weed-toting boy could not see: he was blind. I heard my voice quiver, tears shone like the sun As I thanked him for picking the very best one.~

~"You're welcome," he smiled, and then ran off to play, Unaware of the impact he'd had on my day. I sat there and wondered how he managed to see A self-pitying woman beneath an old willow tree.~

~How did he know of my self-indulged plight? Perhaps from his heart, he'd been blessed with true sight. Through the eyes of a blind child, at last I could see The problem was not with the world the problem was me.~

~And for all of those times I myself had been blind, I vowed to see the beauty in life, and appreciate every second that's mine. And then I held that wilted flower up to my nose And breathed in the fragrance of a beautiful Rose.~

~And smiled as I watched that young boy, another weed in his hand About to change the life of an unsuspecting old man.~

~A FRIEND~

~A friend is like a flower, a rose to be exact, Or maybe like a brand new gate that never comes unlatched.~

~A friend is like an owl, both beautiful and wise. Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, whose spirit never dies.~

~A friend is like those blades of grass you can never mow, standing straight, tall, and proud in a perfect little row.~

~A friend is like a heart that goes strong until the end. Where would we be in this world if we didn't have a friend.~

~Diana Mitev~

~FINDING FAITH IN A FLOWER~
~Sometimes when faith is running low And I cannot fathom why things are so... I walk alone among the flowers I grow And learn the "answers" to all I would know! For among my flowers I have come to see Life's miracle and it's mystery... And standing in silence and reverie My faith comes flooding back to me!~

~Author Unknown~

~A ROSE~

~A flower of God's design, But I cannot unfold the petals With these clumsy hands of mine. The secret of unfolding flowers The flower God opens so sweetly in my hands would fade and die. if I cannot unfold a rosebud, this flower of God's design Then how can I think I have wisdom to unfold this life of mine?~

~So I'll trust him for his leading Each moment of everyday, And I'll look to Him for his guidance Each step of the pilgrim way. For the pathway that lies before My heavenly Father knows. I'll trust him to unfold the moments Just as he unfolds the rose.~

~ROSE A DAY FOR A SPECIAL FRIEND~

~Like roses in a garden, Kindness fills the air With a certain bit of sweetness as it touches everywhere~

~For kindness is a circle that never, never ends But just keeps ever widening in the circle of our friends.~

~For happiness is only found in bringing it to others And thinking of the folks next door as sisters and as brothers.~

~For the more you give, the more you get is proven every day, And so to get the most from life you must give yourself away.~

~And if this greedy world today would only start to give Life everywhere for everyone would be more sweet to live.~

~author Unknown~

~Near a shady wall a rose once grew, Budded and blossomed in God's free light, Watered and fed by morning dew, Shedding it's sweetness day and night.~

~As it grew and blossomed fair and tall, Slowly rising to a loftier height, It came to a crevice in the wall, Through which there shone a beam of light.~

~Onward it crept with added strength, With never a thought of fear or pride. It followed the light through the crevice's length And unfolded itself on the other side.~

~The light, the dew, the broadening view Were found the same as they were once before; And it lost it's self in beauties new, Breathing it's fragrance more and more.~

~Shall claim of death cause us to grieve, And make our courage faint or fail? Nay! Let us faith and hope receive: The rose still grows beyond the wall.~

~Scattering fragrance far and wide, Just as it did in days of yore, Just as it did on the other side, Just as it will forever more.~

~He's the stars in the heaven, a smile on some face, A leaf on a tree, or a rose in a vase.~
~He's winter and autumn and summer and spring, In short, God is every real and wonderful thing.~
~I wish I might meet Him much more than I do, I would if there were more people like you.~
~Friendship without self-interest is one of the rare and beautiful things of life.~
