I got a postcard in the mail today. It was from my orthodontist. I don't normally get postcards from my orthodontist, so naturally I was curious. After a closer inspection, it seems as though I missed my Tuesday appointment.

Uhmm… Whoops!
This is my first missed appointment. …really. I've had a couple of close calls. There were a couple of days when I thought to myself that I had an appointment coming up soon only to find out that it is within the hour. I just seem to have a knack for tracking things in my mind.

Missing this appointment was pretty embarrassing. I'm sure other folks miss theirs. I've even been in the office when they realize that they showed up a day late. However, this type of thing doesn't normally happen to me. I was hoping to go the duration without missing any appointments. Bummer.

It's coming up on June. I had originally gotten them on June 1997… nearly three years ago. They had originally told me that it would only take two years. Damn doctors! Maybe I'm just being passive aggressive.

Pam and I had plans to this evening. Come to think of it, we never really have any specific plans for Friday nights because of the entire Seattle traffic mess. It's a little sad really. I normally get there about 8pm.

Tonight I suggested we go to Azteca for Mexican food. It would involve driving back across the bridge. Actually there are two Azteca's that I know about; they're both about the same distance from Pam's place. We decided to go to the one in the Eastside.

We still sat in the same side of the table. We both had raspberry margaritas. You know… Pam never seems to finish her drinks, not that I mind, it's just an observation.

Pam got the chicken fajitas. She always seems to get that. I've never really observed how she happens to put them together. I probably should in the off chance that she would someday injure her hand and I had to assemble her fajitas. Okay, maybe that's a bit far. I had something called El Tampico. It was a combination platter. There were a number of chicken dishes. It did have a pretty strange side dish composed of a stuffed bell pepper. It wasn't bad really, but it was a little exotic for my taste. Not to mention that peppers are not high in my list. The chicken dishes were good, although not otherwise noteworthy.

We went back to her place. Actually, we made a stop by Larry's Market before heading back to her place. Larry's had this wine chiller. It even had chill times (depending on the type of alcohol). We chilled a bottle of champagne; it took ten minutes. I couldn't help but to think that this certainly qualified as a snotty market. Yeah, I know… I'm sorry, but that's the first thing that crosses my mind. People have aversion to anyone of a number of different things; I have an aversion to snobbiness.

We also got a bag of the Mounds bite sized candies. They're composed of coconut, chocolate, and almonds. You know… they go well with champagne. Don't think so? You haven't actually tried it have you? Shut up! We headed back to Pam's after that.

We were supposed to have made a list of romantic things to do. We were each supposed to come up with five and draw them out of a hat. No, I won't share this list with you folks. If you're really curious… Suffer!

We didn't do the game thing with our lists. Although we did share the contents, quite amusing actually. We were pretty tired, so we went to sleep, but not before I gave her a massage, which was on the list for both of us.

Then came sleep. Zzz…
