On females and love

'Character is far more important than appearance.' The inner beauty of a person can only be truly discovered through sharing experiences, like having meaningful conversations or walking along a beach together. We, as fans, will therefore never 'know' or 'love' Nick Carter. His character (or anyone else's) is too complex to be understood through interviews.

 

We can only ever know the surface of his 'self'. As he tells us, faithfulness, honesty, independence, and kindness are important in all relationships. Instead of looking at Nick Carter as an idealised male or boyfriend, proclaiming to know and love him, perhaps it is more constructive to focus on loving 'real' people, and simply admire what Nick says and does as a human being and a talented singer.

The quotes reflect an individual who is honest, thoughtful, easygoing, friendly, and willing to share his thoughts and feelings. Nick appears to be a truly likeable and down-to-earth person. But this is why we must simply admire him as a person with singing and performing ability, instead of being fanatical about his outward appearance. He is, in the end, just another human being trying to use his talents, like the rest of us. The difference is that for him to gain popularity and be successful in the music industry, he must be exposed to the constant attention of others.
