some important facts about the center of this particular universe ...
things I like
The universe consists of a bewildering variety of things. I have found out that there are things that I like better than other things. One thing I particulary like is music. Music is a wunderfully futile thing which does not serve any real purpose other than being enjoyed or being quarreled over.
I especially like loud and noisy music. This is probably because I enjoy this type of music a lot and because you can quarrel with an amazingly large percentage of people about it.
I like to make music. I have attempted to learn a number of instruments including the piano, the clarinet, the saxophone, the violin, the guitar and the bass guitar. I cannot play any of these instruments really well. The instrument I play most these days is the midi-sequencer and the bass guitar. There's a band.
I also like people. People are the most amazing (and sometimes most annoying) things in this universe. I very much like to chat with some of these people, preferably in places where there is nice and noisy music. Such places are also part of the things that I like.
where I live
I live in Germany. Germany is a medium sized country in what is called Good Old Europe. Actually it has become a bit bigger recently due to some rather incomprehensible events in politics. Whether this has done anybody any good is completely unclear at this point and subject of much debate.
I live in a wonderfully medium sized town of Aachen.
Most people on the globe do not know this town. Even if they did they probably would not be able to not pronounce its name. This is the reason why the people of the netherlands, which is a rather small country in Europa, call it "Aken". The French, which is a tribe of people in Europa who are quite keen on nuclear technology, call it "Aix la Chapelle" for very similar reasons. Aachen is quite close to the Netherlands and to Belgium. There are at least five european capitals which are closer to Aachen then Berlin, the official capital of Germany. This may explain quite a lot.
It is not known why there have to be pictures in homepages, but there is an increasing ammount of evidence that this has something to do either with the multi-media capabilities of the web or with a certain property of the human mind called curiosity. On the other hand I got myself this neat little scanner, which may be the real reason
One of the things I like which I havn't mentioned yet is the internet and the world wide web.
There are obviously more things that I like than I had initially expected ...
That's all for now. There may be more in the future (although that's highly unlikely). Have a nice day and take care. We apologize for the inconvenience. Ta!
