In what could be called "the early days," Ed gave precious few interviews to the media. Due to Ed's and Pearl Jam's tight-lipped stance and the subsequent lack of "from-the-mouth" information, there was much speculation and rumor in the press .
This was the impetus to this collection of articles. It was originally intended to show only press which gave his side of the story. As such, nearly every article you will read here contains only material authorized by, or coming from, Eddie himself -- I included no tabloid speculation or rumors. Those documents which are not from Eddie are only here to provide other people's views on him in what I believe to be a fair and honest manner.
Since the YIELD album, Pearl Jam's attitude toward the media has radically changed. The number of interviews since 1998 has exploded and Ed's comments about music, life, and everything else are widely available. This collection will continue to add what I think are the most interesting or valuable interviews, but will not be a complete collection.
