The
Bogtrotters perform mostly their own arrangements of traditional
Irish and Scottish music. They also play more modern material by
artists as diverse as Van Morrison, Sting and Del Amitri. The band
combines traditional and modern influences to deliver a performance
that appeals to audiences of all ages and tastes.
The
Bogtrotters
was originally formed by Tim Flaherty in the early 1990s. The band
started out giving performances in local pubs in the Warrington
area of north west England. They quickly gained a loyal audience
of local fans that grew rapidly and the band began to perform farther
afield. Since then, they have played in venues across the UK,as
well as in the USA, Germany and even Singapore! They have also released
two CDs, Too Hot to Trot in 1994 and a live
album entitled Live in Dusseldorf Prison in 1997.
