Tonight we met up with some online friends that I've never met in person before: Billy, Sharon, Shira, and Denise. Some familiar faces were there also: our friend Scottie and her family. We all met at a near by resturant and got to know each other. It's so nice to be able to put a face to some typing.
Our seats for the show were...FRONT ROW! We were a little disappointed cause we were supposed to be on Elton's side, but the arena switched the sections when we weren't looking :0( But, we were still happy to be in the front row.
Everyone stood at the stage for the first song then security did their rotten work and told us to go back to our seats. Laura brought her nine year old son, Joey, Elton's biggest little fan. He made the cutest posters for Elton and as he sang Harmony, Joey stood infront of Elton and held up a sign that said, "King John The 1st". Elton and the crowd loved it. He also held up signs that read: "Hello, Elton, Hello Haven't Heard You Sing For A While", "Ohhh Baby You're The One" and "Elton, You Rock In Crocodile Rock".
Again, we all got autographs. This time I got my El Dorado single signed. During the show, Joey kept on moving down to some empty seats infront of Elton. The people who were sitting in that area were very kind to him and told him he could sit there. I noticed no one was sitting there so I snuck down and noticed there were three empty seats. Can you believe it? I asked the woman sitting there if anyone was sitting there. She said that her friends are, but they are up and down all night. Only one of them returned and there were two seats left, so Scottie came and sat in the seat next to me.
Just before Crocodile Rock began, we stood at the stage infront of THE ONE. I was shocked to see there was no one behind us. It seemed like it was just us at the stage. This crowd was so boring. Laura got Joey on her shoulders and he rocked away. Laura had a hat made that said, "Piano Diva" and we all tried to get Elton to take it, but I think he didn't realize it was for him. Hopefully he will take it at the Hershy concert. |
