Renee's Little Piece of the World
in Nepal

NEPAL, FALL 1998
On the way up a hill in Dhulikel, I seemed to attract every little child in town along the way. They called me something in Nepali similar to Renee, which I later found out meant either "cockroach" or "little sister". I hope it was the latter.
Up on the top of the hill, we shared company in a make-shift monastery with a young man who was very eager to share his "holy" buds.
Nepal is full of the most gorgeous shades of green in nature. Photographs come close, but nothing can quite fully capture it.
