ABRIDGED BIOGRAPHY
Born in North Carolina to Bobbie and Tommy, with the given name Tammy T.R., I was raised in the eastern part of the carolinas and attended Greene Central H.S. While a student in high school I excelled in basketball and softball as well as several other extracurricular activities such as photography editor of student yearbook, quiz bowl, SADD/SAVE, treasurer of french club, afro-american historical society, sga, etc.
These and many other things fueled my desire to take my educational career to the next level, therefore prompting me to attend college at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. My chosen subject of study was psychology and I am presently in my senior year. In my sophomore year I declared a minor in journalism to round out my academic endeavors. During my stint at UNCC I became involved once again in an array of extracurricular activities such as sports editor, staff writer, and staff photographer for the universities campus newspaper, The University Times, graduate of LeaderShape, Pilot, and intramural tennis.
FUTURE HOPES & DREAMS The current status of my life places me in love with a wonderful man by the name of Eugene, 4 months pregnant with a precious baby, and very much anticipating all the joy and pain that the future holds in store for me.
In terms of my educational career and beyond, I plan to finish my last 20 credit hours of college within the next year, and begin my journey in the world of psychology with a discipline in child or adolescent psychology. From the limited knowledge that I have obtained over the past 2 months of my pregnancy I think that I would definitely be interested in working as a counselor/advisor/psychologist in an expectant mother's center. |
