Mankind, Dude Love, Cactus Jack. There is no denying his credentials. As Dude Love, he dreamed up his career, competing in backyard matches and putting together the now well-known film: "The Loved One". As Cactus Jack, he began his career and earned the title as "King of the Japanese Deathmatch". And as Mankind he lived out his childhood dreams and captured the most prestigious prize in wrestling today. The World Wrestling Federation Championship.
He is called the King of Hardcore, a true hardcore legend. He was the original Hardcore Champion. He has competed in barbed wire and with C4 explosives, tacts, beds of nails and many such sharp metallic objects. He has competed in what is considered by most, the single greatest match in the history of the World Wrestling Federation: Hell in a Cell in which his opponent was the Undertaker.
To list all of his accomplishments and all of his titles would fill more pages than I could possibly write here. Hell, it would fill a whole book!
Originally I was going to write this page soley based on Mankind. But to limit oneself to writing about only one of Mick's characters is to not give full credit to such a talented athlete.
Mankind is one of the most deranged superstars in the WWF. He'll make you laugh through his own twisted sense of humor and the way he keeps socks called Mr. Socko as his friends. He's a genuinly good guy and without him, the Rock 'n' Sock connection would not even exist.
Mick Foley used to switch personalities alot as his character has these multiple personalities running around in his twisted mind. Mankind is the one he truely is, the deranged soul tring to make a living and have fun all at the same time.
Dude Love was officially fired by Vince McMahon just a couple of years ago. The Dude was the personality Mick switched to when he couldn't take the pain or the beatings anylonger. Dude Love openly admited on many occasions to hateing absoultly everything to do with pain, which lead to some rather humorus situtation as it is diffcult to be a wrestler who dosn't get hurt! But most of all the Dude was a fun loving guy who made everyone feel good, weather it was his cheesy enterance video or interesting dance moves, when the Dude left the ring, everyone had a smile on their face.
And then there is Cactus Jack. Cactus Jack retired two years ago. But he's back. Cactus feels pain, and he likes it. He appears when Mick needs to take things downright seriously again. When something so awful happens to force him into Cactus Jack mode, well whoever made Mick angry is going to pay. Cactus is the Legendary King of Hardcore. No one can beat him at his own game and no one can make him submit (Mankind also possess this trait). A word of caution Triple H, Beware of what you've done...it isn't over yet!!
