The Rock is a third generation superstar, which probably accounts for his larger than life ego. The self-proclaimed Great One is a 3 time WWF Champion, though he won the belt under controversial circumstances as he was the chosen man by WWF owner Vince McMahon to be the WWF Champion at the time.
But the Rock is not to be looked at as weak! In fact, he is far from it. The Brahma Bull went on to defend his title against such opponents as Mankind and The Undertaker.
And that is where their rivalry began. Because—even though the Rock was able to settle his differences with Mankind (the two even becoming tag team champions as the Rock and Sock Connection and maybe even best of friends)—He will never settle things with the Undertaker.
The Rock's ego simply won't allow it—that and the brutal beatings the two have shared.
