It all started at the beginning of 1999, from the shambles of past bands and the vigour of two novices, Amberleaf were born! At first things went badly, lack of equipment, and songs held them back, but not once did they doubt their ability to become, dare we even speak it: Bigger than The Beatles!
But it was not long before they had the equipment and the rehearsel space they so deperately needed. Then the hard business of learning new songs began, at first; covers:- the bread and butter of a live band. secondly; originals:- the hardest job of all, its what sets good bands apart from the superb. Out of the four members of Amberleaf, the genius of Bexley and Emrys stood out, it was their songs that would make them ROCK GODS! Though it was undeniable that JD(drums) and Spence(bass) considerably helped the atmosphere that breeds great music! |

James Bexley is by far the most accomplished of the four. He has being playing guitar for many years now, and his lead guitar skills are extensive. Having played in several bands before, with varying success, he is also has the most live experience. He has written many songs, with which he plans to bid for world domination. He has masterful appreciation of melody and even likes the odd ABBA record too!
Dave(JD)Brown is the youngest member of the band, but that is not to say he is untalented, far from it! His drumming has improved magnificantly, though the lack of a drum kit early on and the fact he hadn't played for some time, has not held him back! He is already a great drummer and with time, the worlds his oyster!
Emrys is the second novice in the band (along with Dave), he has been playing guitar for about three years, learning quickly, he came from no-where to be apart of Amberleaf. He helps write the songs with Bexley, and between them they have already pulled out a few masterpieces. In time he hopes to improve his guitar playing and move more into lead.
Mark Spence has played bass for several years, having been taught by Bexley. He is the backbone of the band, and the level-headed one. He has played in bands with Bexley before and has proved his worth many times. His bass line is steady and keeps them all in time, he just gets on with it! |
