VIC'S ORIGINAL PLAYBILL COMMENTS:Two New Year’s Eves ago, Vic Masters helped a bunch of musicians on their way to Laughlin change a flat on their van. This cultural exchange of musical ideas led to the quintet joining forces as the Lords of Lounge for two unforgettable shows in the Valley. Now, after all this time, the Lords of Lounge are ready to unload their melodic acumen at Hollywood Alley.(Actually, we couldn’t get those guys, one’s on the lam for back alimony and two have vowed never to play any sort of music again, if Allah has anything to do with it. Luckily, it only took a few Red Dog Beers for the Zen Lunatics/Cartwheels to agree to pretend to be the Lords of Lounge. This show reunites me with live musicians and it also teams me with Semi-Detached keyboardist Jim Speros who has developed an allergic reaction to props in his absence. All covers! All love songs! AND YOU! What’s not to love? We call tonight’s program “Stereo 8 Track Show” because that’s exactly what it is!
Vic started out the show in his Tom Jones persona but then switched into his Jimmy Swaggart voice and couldn't stop. All the songs were performed live with the band continuopsly moaning about the missing charts of music. One number, People Are Strange had to be cut from the final order due to time. Here is a rough approximation of what happend that night, as revealed beforehand by the Playbil:
