SINGERS DUEL AT LOCAL BISTRO

Legendary singer Dave Dobbyn challenged his friend, the well-renowned musician Neil Finn to a sing-off at xxx. The impromptu contest, which began in good fun, ended painfully for one of them in true duel fashion.

Witnesses claimed that Dobbyn chimed the famous "Whhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....ling" excerpt from his classic ballad "Whaling" for a record ten minutes, twenty seconds, at a volume so loud that Finn developed a severe migraine headache. Finn, who was forced to shut his eyes due to intense pain from the sonic blast, was treated later that evening at an undisclosed location. He has fully recovered from the shock of Dobbyn's loud wailing, which was heard several blocks away from the bistro.
