"Taylor! Get up! Don't you wana go meet Kirsten and David's niece." Isaac asked his half asleep brother. Taylor was still laying in bed with his boxers only on trying to get more sleep. Isaac stood above his younger brother trying to get him to come with him and Zac to go meet Kirsten's neice. He wore his hair up in a ponytail with a pair of DOCS. He had a green sweater on with a pair of brown cords. Zac stood in the doorway wearing an orange long sleeve shirt with his yellow taxi colored pants with a pair of vans. He had his hair braided. "You guys it is 7:30 in the morning." Taylor whinned sitting up. "I know but she got here 2 hours ago and we called. She isn't asleep. Besides we have to go over there to check out the merchaindise we may use for the tour." Zac said. He was getting impatient with this. Taylor finally got up and dressed in his navy long sleeve shirt and baggy jeans. He pulled his hair back while walking out the door with his brothers. Diane and Walker said they'd be over in a couple minutes. They walked across the yard and rang the doorbell. Kirsten answered. "Hello guys. C'mon in." She motioned them in. They stepped in and took off there shoes cause they knew the rules Kirsten had about shoes on her carpet. "I made some breakfast. Would you like some?" "Sure!" Zac always liked her cooking. She led them upstairs. Taylor walked up slower than the others. He was way too tired. He looked up and saw Aleka sitting at the table. He was oddly stroke by how different she looked from Kirsten. She was absoltly gorgeous, not that Kirsten wasn't pretty but she looked different. He stood there staring at her. She looked up from her plate to see who had come. She stood up and walked over to them. "Hi. I'm Aleka. You can call me Al or Ali." She said holding her hand out to Ike. He took it. "I'm Isaac. You can call me Ike." He let go of her hand. She held out her hand to Zac who was standing next to Ike. "I'm Zac." He sounded rather shy than usual funny weird Zac. Taylor still stood farther away than the other two guys. Aleka walked up to him. He snapped back into reality. "I'm Taylor. You can call me Tay." She flashed him a killer smile that made him melt. They all walked to the table and continued conversation about Aleka. The guys all had plates now and Zac with a plate full. "So, what about your mom?" Zac asked in between bites of his cheese omlet. Al's smile faded as she looked to her plate. They were all confused until she spoke up. "She died 2 years ago when I was 12." She sounded very sad and not a touch of happiness occured for a couple minutes. "I'm sorry to hear." Taylor finally spoke up. She looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah. Me too." Ike and Zac both said. They went through the rest of breakfast in silence. The boys decided they'd better go home while Kirsten showed them the door. She stepped outside with them to tell them the whole story about Ali's mother's death. They all listened carefully to her words. "You see Ali was home alone while her dad was gone and my sister was at a late night bridge game. Ali heard a noise from the kitchen and walked in there. The back door was wide open with the glass broken out. She paniced and ran to her friend's house a couple doors away. While she was gone her mother came home and the man who had broken in killed her." A tear slid down Kirsten's cheek. Obviously she was feeling much pain from telling them the story of her sister. They all left after hearing the troubling story. Kirsten, David, and Ali would come over in an hour to discuss merchaindise for the up coming tour. * * * * * * * * I put my plate away after doing the dishes my Aunt said not to do. I felt really out of place not cleaning up after myself so I did anyways. My Uncle ran upstairs to get the merchaindise ready with my Aunts help. I paced the floor not knowing what to do. Usually I would go online, call Cord, strum my guitar, or play my drumset but I had none of those here. I sat on the floor in front of the T.V. Jus as I sat down the phone rang. I reached over and grabbed the cordless one on the table next to me. "Hello?" I said. Sometimes fans would call here so I had to be careful not to put the phone too close or I might get non-stop screaming. "Ali? This is Tay. I was wondering if you would like to go roller blading with me now." I looked at my watch to check the time. We had 55 minutes until they had the merchaindise thing. "Sure." I'll come over in 5." I hung up the phone and ran upstiars. I walked into the guest room and scrambled for my roller blades. I finally found them and told my Aunt I was going with Taylor. I ran downstairs and out the front door. I ran across the lawn and outside sat Taylor. He was all ready and I wasn't so I took a seat by him. "Sorry I'm late. I couldn't find my roller blades." I really thought Taylor was hot but I knew they were busy and probaly didn't have time for girlfriends. "It's okay. Do you want Ike or Zac to come?" He asked pointing towards the door. I could since a little of asking but he really didn't want them to come. "Nah. Let's just go." I put my shoes inside their garage and stood up. We skated in the driveway a little before actually heading out to the park. Surprisingly there was no snow on the roads, sidealks, or pathes so we could travel on those. It was kinda chilly out and I was glad I had grabbed my blue sweater and put it on. Taylor had put on a sweatshirt as well. We skated next to each other showing each other tricks we knew. I showed him my 360 and jump bench moves. We talked about lots of things. I told him about playing drums and guitar and he seemed to enjoy talking about music but I guess that is what it is like being a performer. Although I have performed before with Cord and Tara at a couple of local things but never like he does with his brothers. I had a feeling he knew about my mothers death and that Kirsten must have told them. We stopped skating and sat down by a tree in the park close by. "So do you like Toledo?" He asked once we were both leaning against the trunk of the tree. "I hate it there. I have a couple friends but they are the only ones who care about me." I think I sounded rather mad in my tone. "No guy in your life?" Taylor questioned me while staring at the ground. I laughed just to ease the embrassment he might have had. "No way!" I stopped and noticed he was looking up at me now with no embrassment what so ever on his face. "What about your dad?" The question hit me like a sock in the stomach. I stared at the ground for a moment and realized that Taylor felt bad for asking since he thought it looked like a not very good subject. I looked up at him. "My father is a greedy man. He goes on buisness trips and leaves me home alone. I am constant reminder of my mother. And he believes it is all my fault." A tear ran down my cold skin. I stared in his eyes. "It's not your fault." He finally said after a couple minutes had past. I looked back to the ground afraid I might loose it all together if I stared at him any longer. Taylor glanced at his watch. "Oh Man! We gotta go! It's already past 10." He scrambled up and took my hand and helped me up. We skated as fast as we could home. Chapter 3 Back to Main Page
