I was quite stunned by Taylor's question. Telling him the truth was the only thing I could really do. Afterall, he'd have to find out about everything my father did to me sooner of later. "Tay," I started looking into his eyes, "you . . . don't need to know that." I began to get up but Taylor gripped by wrist and pulled me back on the couch. His action scared me. He'd never acted so violently before except for the gun insident. "Please . . . Just Tell me." Taylor pleading reply and stoned face made me give in. "My dad doesn't do half the stuff other guys do. Really, I mean some kids get raped, but that'll never happen to me." Taylor couldn't believe she was saying this. It was like saying you won't eventually get lung cancer if you smoke everyday. It was just plain stupid. If the beatings got worse than everything had to get worse. "So, he does . . . sexually abuse you?" I could tell it was hard for Taylor to even say it let alone think it. He'd probably never even known a girl who'd gotten beat up or abused. I couldn't look Tay in the eyes and nodd my head slowly. I saw him look to the ground and thought he might cry, but he didn't. He was angry. He forced me to look at him by his penatrating stare. "You have to tell someone." He said coldly. I jumped off the couch in defense. There was no way in hell I was gonna let anyone know. "I don't have to do anything." I answered just as coldly back. Taylor stood and atempted to take my hands but I pulled away. "Do you even realize what he's doin' to you? Ali! He hits you, blames you for his faults, and does things I can't even imagine a father would do to you!" "Your not me! I get along fine!" I yelled. "If you don't think about what he's doin then think of it through my view." He responded. "I know my girlfriend, the one and only girl I care about in the entire world, gets hit, punched, kicked, and badly hurt by her father. Her own flesh and blood. And now I just found out that he is not only mentally and emotionally hurting her, but he is sexually abusing her too. I'm not a fool and I will not sit by and let her father do what he does. It isn't right, Ali. And you know it. He treats you like your his bitch and your not. He's making you feel useless. You have to understand that everything slowly declines. You said yourself his beatings are becoming more regular and what in God's name makes you think that his sexual feelings won't get worse?" He stopped to take a much needed breath and looked me in the eyes. "I love you more than anything in the world." Ali listened but let it flow in one ear and out the other. "Please understand my point of view." She said taking Tay's hand. "If word got around of what my father does to me then I'm history. I could possibly never see you again. They'd probably send him to jail and me to constant therpy. I don't want to spend the rest of my life telling the stories of my father. I'd rather suffer the beatings and abuse than never see you again in my life." Ali stopped. Taylor looked back up and made a small fake smile. He wrapped his arms around her waist and squeezed her. Ali hugged Taylor back happy that she had put it off. 'One More Night . . .' ~*~* Upstairs*~*~ Isaac and Tara were huddled under the covers of their bed in the middle of the living room floor. Cordelia and Jason were in the kitchen atempting to come up with some sort of food. Tara laid her head across Isaac's chest wit her arms wrapped around his waist. Ike was running his fingers through her hair gently. Tara could only think of what was going to happen to Ali tonight. She glanced at the clock. 5:57 was what it said. She didn't know when Al was to leave but she couldn't bare the thought of not seeing her again. 'What would happen to Corde when she found out?' Tara thought. She knew Corde didn't know about Richard, but it also wasn't her place to tell Corde. The only reason Tara knew about Richard was because Uncle Dan told her because Tara had to take her to training. A lone tear feel down Tara's cheek. 'What would she do without Ali and Corde? What would happen to WT?' Everything was just up in the air. Back Home
