About the band's lyrics and interests The founders of the band, Luiz A. Garcia and Daniel Dobbin, where involved with occult and spiritual matters, and studied these topics deeply, before the band ever existed. The first lyrics deal with this, as they formed the band with the intention of reproducing what they learnt lyrically as well as musically. The band's name itself has to do with this issue. Some months after the band was created and got a steady line-up, the band had a sudden aproach to celtic music and this reflected also on their lyrics, with songs that spoke of irish and scottish glories. About the band's name The meaning of Ashtar (the one who crosses the sky in flames), comes from the great ufological entity: Ashtar Sheran, who is responsible for our planet Earth (Urantia), and leader of the interestelar group called "The Great White Brotherhood".
