Chapter 7: Feelings Show

Isaac walked into the kitchen, only to find Taylor with Zac in a headlock.

"Let him go Tay"
"Why? He made me look like a total fool infront of August!"
"And your point is? that's what he does. What does it matter anyway? You like her or something?" a smile played on his lips.
"Maybe, why?"
"I'm just saying! I think you do like her"
"Ike!"

Isaac started laughing. Taylor released Zac from the headlock and Zac started screaming

"Taylor likes August, Taylor likes August, Taylor likes August!!"
"Zac! Shut up! She might hear you!!" exclaimed Taylor, a worried look appearing on his face.
"Tay, you don't have to worry about that!!" exclaimed Isaac
"Why?"
"Cuz she left"
"What?! Where'd she go?"
"Down to the park to blade"
"Oh"
"You gonna go?"
"Dunno"
"Zac?"
"Huh?"
"You wanna go the park?"
"Yea!"
"Tay?"
"What?"
"Just go! Me and Zac'll go to
"Fine"
"Fine, go get your blades on, both of you."

The three boys raced out to the garage and strapped on their blades. Taylor was the first out of the garage, but he could hear Zac and Isaac very close behind. He turned the corner and got on the path to the center of the park. He pumped his fists into the air.

"I won!"
"I let you win dude" replied Zac
"Whatever squirt! You can't beat me!"
"Hey Tay"
"What Zac?"
"There's your girlfriend"
"She's not my girlfriend Zac"
"Sure buddy, whatever you say!!" Zac started skating as fast as he could over to August.
"Ike! Please stop him! I'm begging you!!" cried Taylor.
"ZACHARY WALKER HANSON!!! YOU GET YOUR LITTLE BUTT BACK OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!!!" yelled Isaac.
"Gosh Ike, not in my ear!" replied Taylor, rubbing his right ear.

Zac quickly turned around. He had a scared look on his face. He skated as fast as he could. As he got closer, Isaac and Taylor could see a small group of girls chasing him.

"Go! Go! Go!" He screamed as he got closer.

Isaac and Taylor turned around and skated as fast as they could through the park. Every few seconds, more people would notice them and start chasing them. They skated down the path and started toward the ramps, where August had just stopped and realized what was happening. She quickly got off the ramp and started skating with them. She knew that she couldn't stay in the park. She glanced back and noticed that there were now girls trampling on the ramps. If she had stayed there, she would've been run over. She turned her attention back to getting out the park quickly.

"Guys!!" she yelled.
"What?" came a three part chorus.
"Split up and head home!" she yelled.

They all nodded and took different paths once they got to a crossing. August turned and sped down the chosen path. She slowed down and glanced over her shoulder. The girls had seen her and were now chasing her.

"Uh-oh" she thought "this could be bad". She skated as hard as she could and turned quickly at the next turn. Unfortunately, she turned to fast, and her ankle gave out. As she fell to the ground, she heard a crack. She laid there with her eyes shut tight, and she began to cry. She couldn't move her left foot, and her left arm was throbbing, as well as her head. She opened her eyes to see that all but one girl had left.

"Are you ok?" asked the girl
"N...nn...nooo" choked out August
"Do you want me to go get help?"
"Y..yy...ye..yesss"
"Ok, where do the Hansons live? They're probably wondering where you are"
"78th street, the brown brick house. Please hurry"
"Ok, I'll be back, I promise."

The girl got up and ran as fast as she could out of the park and down the street. She came to the corner of 78th and Pine, and she took off down the street. After a few second, she spotted the brown brick house, with three exhausted Hansons sitting in the yard putting their shoes on. She ran up the driveway to them.

"G..guys, s..she f..fell, she got hurt, she needs help!" the girl gasped out.
"Wait, who got hurt?" asked a concerned Taylor
"Y..your friend"
"Oh man! What happened to her?!"
"A few girls were chasing her, as I was walking by, and I saw her fall, and all the other girls ran away. She says she can't move her foot, and her arm and her head hurt, you gotta hurry!!" "Ok, thank you so much.........uh, that's your name?" asked Taylor
"I'm Lindsay"
"Ok, thanks Lindsay"
"No problem"
"Come on! Lets go! We gotta help her!"
"Tay, I'm gonna get the car, we can't have her walk back, we should take her to the hospital."
"Ok, thanks Ike!"
"Come on Zac, Lindsay, you coming?"

Lindsay nodded

"Ok, then lets go!!"

The three ran down the street and to the park. Lindsay ran ahead and down the path to where August had fallen. When they got to her, she was unconscious.

"No! August! Come On! Wake Up!! August!!" screamed Taylor

Lindsay stuck her fingers on August's neck.

"She's got a pulse, always a good sign."

Taylor released a shaky breath and looked around for Isaac. Almost immediately, Isaac pulled up in the van. He jumped out of the car and opened the side doors.

"Ok guys, lift her up carefully and put her in here." said Lindsay

Taylor and Isaac lifted August into the van. Taylor sat in the back with her head in his lap.

"Come on, you have to wake up, you just have to!" whispered Taylor.

He silently began to cry. A tear slid down his cheek and fell onto August's cheek. He watched as her eyes fluttered and opened. She tried to sit up, but Taylor prevented her from doing so. She gave him a questioning look and he took a deep breath.

"You were getting chased by the Scream Squad, and Lindsay here says you fell. She ran back and got us. We're taking you to the hospital, ok?" he said, stroking her head. "You'll be ok."

August reached her right hand up and Taylor took it. They smiled.
