Chapter Two

Louise walked out of her new house and down the street. The sun was shining brightly, and Louise looked up at the sky, letting her face absorb the sun’s warm, glowing heat.
“Look out!”
Louise dodged away just in time as a girl in roller blades sped down the sidewalk…and wiped out.
Louise ran up to her. “Are you ok?” she asked the girl.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks.” The girl slowly got up, taking off her helmet, revealing her shoulder length dark brown hair. “I’m Natalie.”
“I’m Louise.”
“Natalie!” cried a voice. “Are you ok?”
“I’m fine, Melissa!” Natalie replied.
“Thank God!” Melissa ran towards us.
“Hey! You must be new! I’m Melissa, and this is my sister, Natalie!” Melissa said perkily.
“Hi, I’m Louise.”
“Don’t mind my sister. She ate too much chocolate this morning.” Whispered Natalie.
“YUP!” Melissa laughed. “Chocolate Milk, a chocolate muffin, and a chocolate granola bar!”
Louise laughed.
“We’re gonna meet some friends, do you want to come?” asked Natalie.
“Uh, no thanks.” Louise said.
“Oh. Ok then. We’ll see you around!”
“Bye!”

Louise walked back to her house, when a basketball caught her eye.
‘Whose ball is it?’ she wondered, and picked it up. She bounced it a couple of times, and looked around for a basketball net. She found one, and it was right next door, so she dribbled the ball towards the basket, shoots and scored.
“You have a nice form.”
Louise turned around. A boy with long dark hair was standing by the garage door, looking at her.
“Sorry, I was just…”
“It’s ok.” Said the boy. He smiled. “You must be new. I’m Bob.” “I’m Louise.”
“That’s a pretty name.”
“Thanks.”
“What are you doing here, all by yourself? Do you want to hang out with me, my brothers and some friends?”
“No thanks.”
“Bob, who are you talking to?” asked a voice.
Three more boys came out of the house.
“Hey Bob.” Said one of them. He had short brown hair and blond bangs, “Who are you talking to?”
“Oh, the girl next door, Louise.” Replied Bob.
“Oh hey! I’m Clint, Bob’s twin.”
“Twin?” Louise took a deep breath.
“What’s wrong?” asked another boy, “Are you surprised? Well, I’m their fraternal triplet. I’m Dave.”
“I’m Scott, their older brother.” Tucking a blond bang behind his ear.
“Nice to meet you.”
“Come on, hang out with us!” said Bob.
“I can’t…”
“We’re not gonna take no for an answer.” Said Dave. He took her arm, and dragged Louise back down the street.
