The Memoryi took a drive down memory lane tonight
the buildings were bordered up
the shops were all closed
and i passed some happy couples i didnt recognize
looked like strangers to me
i havent been around in a whille
it looked like a different place
i tried to remember
why that it was i came here
and what i had lost
told myself id come back for something
and now that something had left
i looked out my car window
and saw it was raining
i suppose you dont always notice the storm
untill it pours
and so i drive out of town
and out of that storm
and i hope that it cleans out the streets and the smells
of all of the memories i found
