‘The Avenging of Celebrian’
by Umagaur the Pale.
Rivendell and Lórien combine their strengths to avenge Celebrian and other kin lost to the hordes of the Misty Mountains.
The main idea of this deck is to lower the automatic attacks at shadow- and dark-hold by means of Pass the Doors of Dol Guldur, getting your elven strike force abominally strong, and then destroy one or to shadow-holds with Tower Raided.
Knowledge of the Enemy, Pass the Doors of Dol Guldur and Rescue prisoners will complete the first quest.
The company we are looking for starts out with Elrond, Celeborn and one of the sons of Elrond or Gildor.
Celeborn will pick up the Gold Belt of Lórien, which enables him (with the help of the starting Elf-stone) to influence Galadriel.
Now your strike force is complete, sideboard in Fellowships, three Golden Hairs and Phial of Galadriel to help with corruption.
To arm them bring in the swords (one of them tapping Dol Guldur to play Rescue Prisoners there).
Your ultimate team looks like this:
Elrond with Three Golden Hairs (7/11)
controlling Gildor with Wormsbane (7/7)
Celeborn with Glamdring, Phial of Galadriel, Elf-stone and Gold Belt of Lórien (8/9)
controlling Galadriel with Orcrist (7/10)
Combine this with Star of High Hope, Vilya, three fellowships and the Evenstar played on Galadriel to get their prowesses to 17, 13, 14 and 14 respectively, enough to take on a balrog company and destroy Moria I think.
Sideboard in the Tower Raideds and you're ready to go! (just discard Leaf Brooches, not weapons for Tower Raided)
Do this just before the game ends, because you will have to leave some characters behind to keep Tower Raided from being discarded.
Meanwhile, Pallando arrives in Grey Havens to inflence Círdan, bringing your hand size to ten (eleven when your main company is in Rivendell or Lorien).
They bring in the Elves of Lindon and, if you dare risk the trip, Blue Mountain Dwarves and Rangers of the North. (with a Noble Hound?)
Hold on to the prowess enhancers for when you're planning something dangerous, don't use them when moving to a haven.
Try to play Vilya on the organization phase of the turn you move from Rivendell (to Dol Guldur, Moria, Carn Dûm...) so you can take advantage of its power to recycle SoHH, tE, GoM, other Vilyas or just whatever you discarded, but now need.
On the hazard side spiders get ugly with Full of Froth and Rage, Wake of War and Black Vapour.
When enough spawn has infested the under-deeps, sideboard in Unabated in Malice, Darkness Made by Malice, the Reek and/or Desire All for thy Belly by strategically halving your opponents hazard-limit.
If your spiders are being successful there should be no need to sideboard.
