Ally
Ally Marree Wilson is 19 and easily the coolest thing happening in Toronto at the moment. And she's going to kill me for putting her middle name up here. She's the most non annoying vegan I've ever met, and her only flaw is perhaps the fact that she doesn't mind a little Earth Crisis. That and she types in a complicated shorthand of her own invention :)
Ally loves her two cats, murphy and emo, and lives in Canada at the moment with her parents and younger siblings. If asked to describe her personality it could be summed up as one very pissed off white girl sticking her finger up in the face of every one who would try to shape her identity, sexuality, dietry habits or whatever. At the same time, she is incredibly humanist, and very easy to get along with, largely due to the fact that she takes a genuine interest in everyone she meets. She is brutally honest, but not in the way of people who say "I'm brutally honest" when in fact they're just jerks.
Ally hates swing bands, which could be a good personality trait, I haven't really worked that one out yet. She's scared of thunderstorms. She does say 'aboot', but her accent has this french inflection in it, making it THE worlds sexiest trans-atlantic accent. She invents cool new musical genres. Her hobbies could be listed as pissing me off with her ability to play any musical instrument ever made (and even some that haven't been made), and just attempting to piss me off in general. And swimming naked in lake Ontario.
Simply put, Alison is a very likeable person, who will only kill you if you mistake her for an American.
RACHEL
Rachel is a walking inspiration. I don't know anyone who's been through as much shit as her and come out on the other side so well. Rachel is currently living in Adelaide with her longtime girlfriend, Amy, and their malamute Ian. She is unfailingly agressive and committed in her defence of what she sees to be right. While often overused, the word "Integrity" definitely applies here. Rachey is proof that people can pull themselves together and rebuild their lives, balance material gain and financial independence with happiness and moral satisfaction, and do it all without compromising herself in any way. All this at just 18.
Rachey is often the sounding board for much of what goes on with this site, and long discussions with her over fish and chips when we should have been in literature lectures have led me to think a hell of a lot more about the implications of the way I lead my own life. She has been instrumental in the slow development of the setback manifesto. She has an absolutely bizzarre sense of humor, is very talented with a spray can, hates any hardcore after about 1984 (with the exception of gorilla biscuits), and is worried that she's turning into a yuppie.
Since getting the internet, Rachels pissed off a lot of people. That's a good thing.
