Maxim

Maxim has been working with his solo album for years. His first solo track 'Dog Day' was released on XL-Recordings' promotional sampler CD 'Against The Grain' (XLPR 126). His second solo appearance, 'Factory Girl', was also on a promotional CD. 'Factory Girl' was a cover song, originally performed by The Rolling Stones. The track can be found on a promotional Beggars Banquet 21st Anniversary -album.

    MY WEB EP
Maxim's first (commercial) solo record was released in August 1999. The EP included 5 tracks: 'Pissed', 'My Web', 'My Web (Instrumental)', 'Sin City' and 'Paranoid'. Vocals for 'My Web' were edited by Liam.

In Autumn 1999 Maxim said in the I-D magazine that he had released a solo record as a white label back in 1994! The record was released under the name of Grim Reaper. Only 500 copies were made. Two tracks from this rare 12" were available on Maxim's offical site. The tracks were 'Lyric Style Psychosis' and 'Mightier Than Might'.

    CARMEN QUEASY
Maxim's second solo record was 'Carmen Queasy', a collaboration with Skin from Skunk Anansie. The single entered the charts and it's highest position was 33rd. Kieron Pepper (Prodigy's live drummer / guitarist) did the guitar riffs for the track.

    SCHEMING
The third single from Maxim's debut album was 'Scheming'. 'Scheming' was co-written by Maxim's cousin Trina Allen, Liam Howlett and Jim Davies (former Prodigy live guitarist). Drums and bass lines were done by Liam Howlett. The story goes that Liam remixed one of Maxim's tracks and Maxim liked it so much that he decided to release it as a single.

    HELL'S KITCHEN
Maxim's debut album was released October 2nd. The album contained 12 tracks: 1 'Hadrian's Wall' 2 'Killing Culture' 3 'Carmen Queasy' 4 'Spectral Wars' 5 'Hell's Kitchen' 6 'Scheming' 7 'Worldwide Syndicates' 8 'Soul Seller' 9 'Universal Scientist' 10 'My Web' 11 'Dominant Genes' 12 'Backward Bullet'.
