If you want to ask something about the Prodigy just
send me an e-mail. I have this X single which is different than the one on your pages. Is it rare or a promo? Prodigy singles are released in different parts of the world by different distributors, for example by Play It Again Sam in the Netherlands and by Delabel in France. Usually singles contain same tracks as the XL release in the UK but there are some differences, like older Elektra US singles contain exclusive remixes which weren't available on XL releases. If you are a true Prodigy collector, you have all the singles from different distributors. No joke. More detailed discographies are available in record labels section. What is the difference between Dust Brothers' remix and Chemical Brothers' remix of 'Voodoo People'? The Chemical Brothers were originally called the Dust Brothers. They took the name from US producers called the Dust Brothers. They have worked with the Beastie Boys (they produced 'Paul's Butique') and Beck. Due to copyright reasons Chemical Brothers had to change their name. Chem Bros' remix was originally released in 1994 on 'Voodoo People' -single titled as Dust Brothers Remix. In 1995 'Voodoo People' single was released in USA and due to copyright problems the name of the remix was changed into Chemical Brothers Remix. Also one (unknown) vocal sample was reversed. What is 'Gabba'? 'Gabba' is Prodigy's live tune - in fact it's the last tune in their set. It became into their set in 1994 and was there till 1997. There's a rumour that the song would contain a sample from Ramone's song but this information hasn't been confirmed. |
