Keith Flint

Keith Flint was born 27 March 1969 in Chelmsford. When Keith was 14 he was suspended from school and later he failed the exams and left Boswells School in Chelmsford. When Keith was 17 his parents divorced and after his father was remarried he met his new step-brother Gary who made a big influence on him. Gary introduced a new alternative life style which contained smoking dope, Pink Floyd and motorbikes. Soon after, in 1988, Keith sold his possessions and went off for a eight-month long trip to Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

When Keith came back to Essex his dad threw him out from his house. Keith found a room from a local commune and stayed in their big old building in Braintree centre. In 1989 he, like Liam, found the Barn and he was immediately drawn with acid house. It was on the Barn's dance floor where he met Leeroy and met Liam.

Keith is currently living in Essex. His most important hobby is motor biking but he is also into gardening.

Keith has his own solo project called simply Flint. It's a five-member band with Keith on vocals, Jim Davies on guitar, Kieran Pepper and Tony Howlett (both) on drums and a bass player called Rob. First single was released in May 2003 and the album was originally meant to be released in Summer 2003 but it was delayed to the future. Read more about Flint here.
