Former dancer Lee Roy Paul Thronhill was born on 7 October 1968 in Barking, Essex. When he was three years old his parents, George and Lynne, divorsed and Lee Roy and his sister Sharon (whose photograps can be seen on back sleeve of 'Everybody In The Place') moved with his mum to Braintree. Leeroy later became interested in b-boy style, electro and hip hop. His mates made him interested in rave scene and he became regular visitor to the Barn where he became friends with Keith and met Liam. Leeroy was Prodigy's dancer since day one but after nine years of being a dancer he wanted to quit. He was interested in makeing his own music and Liam wasn't writing music that Leeroy could dance to. Liam suggested to him that he would learn to play guitar but instead he wanted out. His first moniker was Longman but he changed his moniker to Flightcrank. He has done remixes to Moby, Shades Of Rhythm and Dr. Dooom and he currently has a record deal with Copasetic. Sharky Former dancer A female member of the Prodigy's live act in the early days. She became part of the band since she was a friend of Keith and Leeroy who she had met at the Barn but she left the band after they won a record contract with XL because the band's gig schedule was interrupting her personal life. She is still a part of the Prodigy gang and she is currently working in film industry. Her real name is unknown. Jimmy Davies Live guitarist The first time when Jimmy "Goose" Davies peformed live with the Prodigy was in Paris, France in 1995. He played guitar on Break & Enter '95, Their Law and Rock'N'Roll and he can be seen on Electronic Punks video (XLV 017). He has done guitars for several Prodigy tracks, such as 'Firestarter', 'Breathe' and 'Fuel My Fire'. Jimmy left the band after 'Firestarter' entered the chart at number one in the UK. Even though he was a good guitarist, the problem was that he wasn't a good performer. That's one of the reasons why Gizz later became their live guitarist. "Jim looked a bit shy on stage as far as letting off goes. We felt that we needed someone like Gizz on stage to have a good performance with Keith, you know. Jim was nervous - I don't know whether Keith made him a bit nervous or something. He's still an excellent guitar player. Every time I see him, he surprises me with different things that are so cool. I'll probably still use him from time to time." -Liam in March 1997. Nowadays he is a member of a band called Pitchshifter and he has also worked with Maxim on his solo album - he co-wrote 'Scheming'. Jim re-united with the band in early 2002 for the Big Day Out tour in Australia and for two US gigs. Jim has said those Australian were one his best with the Prodigy. Gizz Butt Former live guitarist His real name is Graham Butt. After Jim Davis left Prodigy in '96, they needed a new live guitarist, and after a while Mörat from Kerrang! who was a good friend of Gizz passed his number to the band and that's how he got involved with the band. Gizz lives in Peterborough and knew Maxim back in the 80s. Gizz has played in several punk bands such as like The Destructors, Wardance and English Dogs but now he's a member of Janus Stark. "We held the auditions in London with about six or seven people. Just from his background, being in the English Dogs, he was a wicked player, and above all, he can perform on stage." -Liam. Kieron Pepper Live drummer Kieron Pepper is a member of a band called Happy Gilmore. The band was formed in Essex. Kieron started as a live drummer in December 1997 but he has also played guitar on some Prodigy gigs. He has also worked with Maxim on his solo album, he played guitar on 'Carmen Queasy' and currently he his working with Leeroy on his Flightcrank project. He has also thaught Keith to play guitar. Alli MacInnes Live guitarist Alli MacInnes is the singer of a band called Fifth Amendment. She became Prodigy's live guitarist after she sent her album to Liam for a remix and later she got asked if she could play guitar on stage with Prodigy. She appeared on stage only on four gigs during Summer 2001. |
